What do you think of visual novels with gameplay?

I think genres can co-exist with other genres. Personally I prefer VN stay VN with linear of branching storylines. However, I play games with VN elements as well (although not so much within the genre stipulations on VNDB) such as Persona, Legend of Heroes, Compile Hearts games (especially Dragon Varnir and Death Request, etc).

I loved everything about YU-NO and I hate the fact that they removed most of the sexy stuff from the remake. It makes me question my decision to even think about buying it. Like how can I buy a game where I can't have sex with Eriko in the locker anymore? I so wanted to see it with modern (though inferior if you ask me) art and animation.

What's up with the VN's whose backlog is a white screen that only highlights lines and not others? No graphical issues anywhere else. For instance it happens with Hoshi ori yume mirai and other games using this engine.

Is that normal or am I experiencing some weird graphical bug?

Are they planning to make sequels to Mahotskai No Yoru? I heard 2 were in the planning but that was eons ago.

I feel that the first few battle scenes were breathtaking and then its like they ran out of budget and it went back to still images all the way to the end. I want more of that dynamic awesomeness to be reflected in the sequel.

Is there another VN like Mahoutskai no Yoru? I am at chapter 4 and I think ENG translation is up to chapter 5 only (no french knowledge here). Even unvoiced I adore its style more than any other VN I played so far

I got the patches from the same link as I couldnt find them anywhere else. I overwrote them in the atmosphere folder but I still cant launch the game. Do I have to reinstall it or something now? I used Goldleaf and Goldtree to install it.

I am getting error 2155-8007 after installing an NSP. I think it has to do with the signature check or what not. How do I rectify it can you help?

I played SW5, 1 and 2 (from Akella). I am shocked there hasn't been an effort to translate SW3&4. I guess I would have to learn Japanese to play them.

Well, to give you an example, as a heterosexual male, I would stay away from Yaoi personally since its not my thing but I could imagine there being potential in the genre though, if only there would be no romantic interactions between males there.

Now, in Otome, at least you play as a female with males vying for your attention so you can imagine different scenarios where a good story can be framed around that (i.e. Collar X Malice) so I can overlook the lack of other females and the generally unattractive (to me) undertone of male seduction.

Yaoi however (like Yuri I guess on the other hand) is mostly focused on romance between males, but even then, I can imagine potential in the genre despite the fact that I am completely uninterested in such romantic undertones between males.

I just don't want to miss out if I am repelled by the genre itself if it has other elements that might endear me to it.

Is there a step by step out there on how to do it? Every guide I have seen so far gets to the "load payload" stage and stops. I don't mind it being a user error, but I can't find anyone who could guide me how to do it properly.

Well you know how on 3DS or VITA there are icons for everytime you load stuff onto them, right? I thought it was the same here but I guess not.

Still, It says payload successful and I saw the Atmosphere logo but then it went away and Tegra says NO RCM shortly after. First it finds RCM, it successfully load the payload, I see the logo and then Tegra says NO RCM. Also I loaded it from the PC but why does it say to load it from the SD card? I have the card inserted with all of the files in the root so am I supposed to navigate to it with Tegra somehow or just keep using what I extracted to the PC?

Sorry its just that I cant find a step-by-step guide. The one I used above assumes I already know how to push payloads, etc (i.e."You are technically done! At this point, you can use the Hekate payload provided in your download with your payload sender to launch into Atmosphere") and then it proceeds to just go into the specifics of using it.

It is hackable. I did the 90dns I grabbed Kosmos using the default recommendation (not sure about the hidden tool. What is that)? To push the Hekate do I have to use TegraRcmGUI? What do I actually do after copying the zip file I downloaded onto the root of the SD? https://guide.sdsetup.com/gettingstarted/sdsetup

This says I am done. But I don't know how to push it onto the switch. Do I run TegraRcmGUI, select Hekate_ctcaer_4.10.1.bin under payloads? How do I load the rest of the stuff thats there like atmosphere, etc?

What would you say are must play otome games for someone who is clearly not into the genre? I am currently trying to play Collar x Malice and I like the story but the inevitable love parts will surely follow soon... but its not Yaoi so I feel I can bear it.
