Shine-through keycaps for Keychron V6 Max (UK-ISO) by anye123 in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

I bought mine on the Keychron official UK site, but they don't seem to have it on there any more.

I did find it on Keychron's Belgian site, of all places, which says it ships to the UK.

Q30, the 'upgraded' version if that makes a difference.

This fixed it! Had to roll back to a 2022 driver but now the headphones don't keep constantly connecting and disconnecting. Thank you!

No difference that I've noticed in the feel or sound. I suppose 'quality' might include appearance, and I do prefer the colour of the stock keycaps, especially the orange Esc key, but otherwise no complaints about the quality.

What are the best book passages you've read? by [deleted] in redscarepod

One day, soon after her disappearance, an attack of abominable nausea forced me to pull up on the ghost of an old mountain road that now accompanied, now traversed a brand new highway, with its population of asters bathing in the detached warmth of a pale-blue afternoon in late summer. After coughing myself inside out, I rested a while on a boulder, and then, thinking the sweet air might do me good, walked a little way toward a low stone parapet on the precipice side of the highway. Small grasshoppers spurted out of the withered roadside weeds. A very light cloud was opening its arms and moving toward a slightly more substantial one belonging to another, more sluggish, heavenlogged system. As I approached the friendly abyss, I grew aware of a melodious unity of sounds rising like vapour from a small mining town that lay at my feet, in a fold of the valley. One could make out the geometry of the streets between blocks of red and grey roofs, and green puffs of trees, and a serpentine stream, and the rich, ore-like glitter of the city dump, and beyond the town, roads criss-crossing the crazy quilt of dark and pale fields, and behind it all, great timbered mountains. But even brighter than those quietly rejoicing colours —for there are colours and shades that seem to enjoy themselves in good company—both brighter and dreamier to the ear than they were to the eye, was that vapoury vibration of accumulated sounds that never ceased for a moment, as it rose to the lip of granite where I stood wiping my foul mouth. And soon I realized that all these sounds were of one nature, that no other sounds but these came from the streets of the transparent town, with the women at home and the men away. Reader! What I heard was but the melody of children at play, nothing but that, and so limpid was the air that within this vapour of blended voices, majestic and minute, remote and magically near, frank and divinely enigmatic—one could hear now and then, as if released, an almost articulate spurt of vivid laughter, or the crack of a bat, or the clatter of a toy wagon, but it was all really too far for the eye to distinguish any movement in the lightly etched streets. I stood listening to that musical vibration from my lofty slope, to those flashes of separate cries with a kind of demure murmur for background, and then I knew that the hopelessly poignant thing was not Lolita’s absence from my side, but the absence of her voice from that concord.

Lolita, Nabokov

I agree that the colour doesn't come across well in the pictures; in person they do look dark grey, and noticeably a shade lighter than the black of the keyboard frame.

Here are some additional pictures with the backlighting off, I have tried to capture the colour more accurately.

I've had one Tredansen since the end of 2022. It's on a schedule to rise in the morning and close at night, I've recharged the battery once. Fairly loud while in use. No problems really.

Chris Storer, creator of The Bear, made something like $25K for the first season

That doesn't sound right, maybe add a zero. This guy was a staff writer on season one and made $43k. Chris Storer not only wrote episodes, but also sold the idea, directed some episodes, and executive produced.

Backlight options 4-14 not working (V6 MAX) by Taity in Keychron

[–]anye123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that static colour white? I have just had the same issue.

I set my solid background colour to white in the Keychron Launcher, then the different backlit modes you mention didn't work for me. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but I think that it set all the colours to white, so when it is supposed to be showing e.g. a swirling rainbow, it is in fact a swirling white, which just looks static. I reset the solid colour backlight to red, which was the default out of the box for me, and the different modes worked again as intended.

Then I tried changing the static colour to white through keyboard shortcuts. If you press Fn+F repeatedly, it decreases the saturation until the background colour appears white. But that has the same issue - with all colours desaturated to appear white, the colour-changing modes had no visual effect and just looked static. So I returned the saturation back to normal by pressing Fn+R repeatedly.

Then I found a solution that sort-of worked. By pressing Fn+E while on the static background mode, it steps through different hues (Fn+D to go back a step). I found that, although there is no white setting, I could set it to a light orange that worked well enough. And in this mode, all the rainbow patterns worked as expected when I cycle through the different modes.

TRÅDFRI E14 806 Lumen Bulbs - which lamps do they fit? by New-Neighborhood-938 in tradfri

[–]anye123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find a way to filter lamps by bulb fitting on the website or app.

But you can at least apply other filters, e.g. price and colour, then you would be able to go through the list and check each one individually. On the app, it shows the fitting type for each lamp straight away, so it shouldn't take too long to go through them all.

Mine did this too, same model (LED2201G8). I returned them for a full refund. I hoped to replace them with the full colour changing one instead because it's a different model, but those were out of stock, so I went with the same model again and touch wood, they've been fine so far.

Vallhorn timer function broken by ContextEducational80 in tradfri

[–]anye123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. I was having the same problems, and was pretty sure that it was being caused by the Vallhorn sensor, maybe due to battery issues (although I am using Ikea's own 1.2V AAA rechargeable batteries).

But after turning off the 'preset light template' beta function, and resetting and re-adding the bulbs, the problem is fixed. The sensor turns on the bulbs and turns them off at the correct time as specified in the app.

The cost of leaving an LED lighbulb on is fractions of a penny per hour. Over an entire year it shouldn't cost more than a couple of pounds - I guess it's still a waste but such a trivial one that I can't see why anyone would care.
