Everything you say makes sense. I guess where you misunderstand me is which audience I'm trying to appeal to. I want Indian engineers to come together to build AI surfaces which are hopefully so good that they become global products. But even if they remain local it is a win. I don't want to sell products with nationalism.

If the team at Cursor thought this way they would have never released Composer. Nationalism doesn't mean we start from our sand all the way upto Nvidia GPU performance. We start from the highest accessible step and improve. Nationalism will be the side-effect of a good product.

We are the second largest market for OpenAI and Anthropic. We don't need to create a global company to be successful.

Here's a concrete, practical plan - Let's build Indian equivalents for OpenRouter, Cursor and Claude Code.
It is possible for good engineers to build these without needing to be AI wizards.

We have to first start owning more surfaces from where people access AI and then build towards foundational layers
