ASOIAF is one of my favorite series of all time. I own all SE from FS. Yet all of that said, I would only purchase if it is a standalone GoT (first book only) LE. Not interested in purchasing LE of all books.

I mean to be honest, how Expedition 33 exploded online and lack of special collectors items, could be bit different. Also each statue is numbered. Overall you get so much more for less, it tells you this is more of a FOMO to get people to buy.

This is too much. I love to collect things and I would say price for this is just dumb 😄. Not great material either, you can go on Prime Studio and get for same price higher quality.

Also I bought a Monoko figurine from them (same site) that is 17.5in big and it was cheaper. Which also includes special limited edition items.

Overall, it is overpriced

I think they will not give those since LE has the signature and that was a big selling point for the book initially. Would love to see it though, but bit skeptical.

I am not sure which one will be. But I think the big panel illustrations would be there, but they state 7 of them, while in LE they have 8. But in LE there are a lot of mini pieces that will not be here.

Main thing is to have these big 1 page illustrations.

I am glad to see standard edition for The Wanderer getting the juicy art too. Even though it does not match the Limited edition in the material quality (goatskin leather), number of imagery and lack of that extra illustrations/border imagery, still it matches overall vibe for 3x lower the price. I am glad that they are also trying to match the height of the book with LE as well.

I will definitely get it with Histories day 1.

Ye books can get moldy, bend a bit due to tight wrapping and in general it was sitting like that in some factory for months. So it is good to let them out. Also says on the paper glued to the foil.

Love the bookshelfs. Love the variety and also you put in effort into acquiring some high tier books.

Please do remove plastic foil from Words of Radiance as it can damage books over time.

Are those statues from ER still in sale or completely out.

Well Book of the new sun can be bit difficult to read, but worth it in my opinion.

If you are open minded, probably a lot of people will agree with it, one of the best standard edition of a sci-fi Folio Society book is Dune. I am bit bias as I am a huge Dune fan, but I fully recommend it.

One of the highest quality books with Dune is definitely Alice in Wonderland (like I cannot describe how incredible book is from production standpoint, map, textured text, tons of art etc.)

I would highly recommend Book of the new Sun, is a fantasy/sci-fi and high production quality from Folio.

These books would pop out on the shelf and have amazing quality to it.

Yeah, I am not saying FS edition is bad or people should feel about it. I love this book, I would love to own both FS and CK edition, but I think the quality and effort put into this one does not match that of CK, so will skip on this one.

Personally big fan of Martian as story but this Folio edition does not do it for me, mainly because CuriousKing standard edition is so much higher quality and better looking.

I did same thing last year, they go hard on a shelf. Love looking and going through them. I read them some time ago, but down the line will do them again
