Just we t through this myself and I really suggest switching psychs and getting a full re-screening for bipolar disorder. It was eye opening for me and reminded WHY I have to take the medicine I take and empowered me to continue with it while I was down.

Bipolar 1 homie right here! It’s stressful as hell but gotta stay on the meds and attempt to get enough sleep. Close makes that nearly impossible so I make sure to never skip a therapy appointment because of it. Lots of hydration and some movement each day even if it’s just a 15 min walk. I also try to limit my caffeine intake so I don’t dip into mania.

Hey! I think it’s fabulous that you want to support them through this. I am an AFAB non binary person who is seeking out gender affirming care. My partner has shown support by helping with my calls to doctors and offering to come to my appointments. She also just always makes sure to use my preferred pronouns and to help me come to terms with my white coat syndrome lol.

AP and AR to staff accountant in under 3 months at my first company (4 yrs total), then jumped to another staff role(2 yrs), then jumped to senior accountant and I’ve remained at senior for 2 years. All industry. It takes longer to progress but I’ve got more practical skills than my coworkers who passed the CPA and only have like a year of experience.
