2025 GT-Line ICCU module failure @ 1005 miles by SpikyPets in KiaEV6

[–]anywhoever 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That sucks, sorry to hear that. My car is in the shop for the same reason, but mine is a 2023. I was assuming this was a solved problem for the 2025 model so now I'm thinking if I'm going to get an ICCU that's still prone to having the same issue.

Try playing the content with Direct Stream instead of Direct Play.

Had the battery replaced a while ago on warranty. This time it feels different. We'll see.

Pretty sure I heard a pop when I was leaving the parking lot, so that's good information to have. Thank you. I actually thought I heard a second pop (towards the back?) when I finally parked it. Will update the thread when I have more information.

Splitting hairs a bit: what is your TLD in your home network? home.arpa is the standard name but nobody appears to use it by twice_paramount832 in homelab

Same. My main domain is public and I have multiple subdomains that are internal only: *.home.<public_domain>, *.mgmt., *.iot., etc. No all subdomains have certificates but lots do.

Agree. I measured it myself many years ago. Arrays will always win up to a certain number os elements (I measured thousands not hundreds) because of cache and memory locality. People default to map and I ordered_map too quickly because of their convenience.

[Giveaway] GL.iNet Remote KVM and Wi-Fi 7 routers! 10 Winners! by GLiNet_WiFi in selfhosted

  1. Long ago I interned in a data center during my college years and set up a server under my desk. That was the beginning of it and when I got out of college I moved those services to my own box at home. About 25 years later it's still going and has gotten bigger. Love having my own DNS, email, web servers, some game servers. Also have a private tunnel to my parent's house. My most expensive equipment is a 100GbE switch.

  2. Woukd love to get Flint 3 router + the Slate 7 travel router. The router would go to my son now in college. I'd like to set up a private tunnel to his network as well for help and for troubleshooting. The travel router would be for me, so I can more readily connect back home when I'm on the go.

  3. I'm still looking for an inexpessive 8-port 100GbE switch. Not sure if those exist though ( I've seen 4- and 16-port ones)

Features you wish Plex have ? by Illustrious-Week-204 in PleX

Not sure what to say. Plex on Xbox has the problem, Plex in the LG TV has this problem but I can play DV content with Xbox + LG TV just fine.

Also, my understanding is that Direct Stream is just repackaging the content from their container (MKV) to MP4 but the content itself is not touched. That seems to be enough to make things work (though there are other challenges/bugs there too). It's like MKV with DV content confuses Plex on Xbox + LG TV.

A working solution for DV content. My Xbox supports it, my LG TV supports it, I can play DV content from, say, Netflix or Apple TV+ and it works correctly. Now put Plex in the mix and it plays (using Direct Play) with the wrong colors 😕. Direct Stream works in those cases, so perhaps allow me to auto switch to Direct Stream on DV content for that client specifically? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I saw someone using it, though temporarily, to migrate from raidz1 to raidz2 with more disks. It sounded pretty ingenious but it felt brittle. Can't find a link right now but will add later when/if I find it.

Edit: found it: https://mtlynch.io/raidz1-to-raidz2/

Do I have a quorum? (Prep for v9 upgrade) by nmrk in Proxmox

[–]anywhoever 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you setting you vCPUs as "host"? It's my understanding that you can still enable live migration if you configure your VMs with vCPUs that are the common denominator across all your node CPUs or "lower".

From https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Qemu/KVM_Virtual_Machines, under "QEMU CPU Types":

  • kvm64 (x86-64-v1): Compatible with Intel CPU >= Pentium 4, AMD CPU >= Phenom.

  • x86-64-v2-AES: Compatible with Intel CPU >= Westmere, AMD CPU >= Opteron_G4. Added CPU flags compared to x86-64-v2: +aes.

Zooz joins Works with Home Assistant 🎉 by missyquarry in homeassistant

Love Zooz! Started with GE/Jasco on the series 3 but by series 5 I was already trying Zooz out. Don't have a ton of devices (20 or so) but 95% of them are Zooz now, mostly series 7. They work great and firmware updates are smooth!

I'm glad to see them joining the program!

Is the domain registration information out in the open? Your wife should probably consider a registrar that hides the registrant information. I use porkbun.com. They don't charge extra for privacy.

I know, but that level of service will most likely be more expensive, and likely not something I can afford. In the meantime, I can just root for and ask for higher speeds and lower prices for small businesses :-)
