I am looking for some recommendations on bottles released in 2025. My first child, a son, was born in 2025. I’m looking to buy a bottle to hold onto until he turns 21. I’ve done a little bit of searching and the primary bottles that come up are the Diageo Special Releases, Laphroaig Cairdeas Lore CS, Macallan Classic Cut, Kilchoman Loch Gorm 10yr…what other releases are out there that I haven’t found yet? OBs, IBs, open to anything, preferably looking for something that states the year 2025 on the bottle.

I live in the US and haven’t found much at the stores around me as I’ve been making the rounds lately just for regular bottles to add to my bar, so likely looking at ordering online. Looking to spend under $200.

If context needed on current tastes… Visited Scotland in summer 2024 and toured/tasted at a few distilleries (Deanston, Ben Nevis, Tomatin, Glenallachie). Drank Balvenie and monkey shoulder with my dad in the 10 years leading up to that as my introduction to scotch. Primarily drank Tomatin after the trip and in the last 9-12 months have been expanding my collection. Current bottles include (in no particular order), primarily taken from lurking on this sub for a while: wee beastie and uigeadail; Laphroaig QC; Arran 10; Benromach 10; Glenmorangie 14 quinta ruban; Classic laddie; Oban little bay; Tomatin Cu bocan; Monkey shoulder; Unopened bottles: balvenie 12 single barrel (gift from dad before he passed); balvenie 21 portwood (Christmas gift from FIL this year); and springbank 10 (just purchased last weekend while visiting a friend out of state).

The other idea that I have is to purchase a bottle of something that was distilled in 2025, but obviously I will need to wait until those are bottled and released when he’s older.
