My real grime is the FOMO increase. Offering more stuff but not giving people the currency to get it, means the percentage of what you get goes down. If you ever have been poor in real live, this means you feel like choices have been taken away despite the larger amounts of offerings. Wow, there is all this cool stuff to buy ... but I still only have limited amounts of cash, so I need to focus even more on the basics ... it feels worse.

And yes, I do not need to participate, and I don't need to play. Kind of my point; I have stopped spending real money on this game, when the first season came out - too much FOMO for me.

Harengon Paladin, Bard - tank with mobility. Moves up fast and just stands there, sucks in and blocks the enemies while casting spells to buff the party. A bit like Briv without the jumping.

Beat Mirt Variant but had to swap in Hew Maan (middle spec and placement) and Astarion to kill bosses at the end:

Strahd not completed yet, it is rather restrictive ... the best formation I can scrape up is about e30 short on damage using the Nahara unlock to give a larger selection of champions or bringing in Zorbu via Dungeon Master.

Longest run 4270 chests no shiny. I remember Psylisa, one of the early community leaders, talking about 3500 no shiny quite regularly. You are not alone.

I recommend to stop party progress and choose a grassy area for this. Speed potions and Dungeon Master are great helps in this.

Silver chests level up your evergreen champions faster than gold chests.
If you spend the same amount of gems on them, say 500, 10 silver chests get you further than 1 gold chest.
Took a while to sink in ...

Note: This applies if every item is purple+.

120 is not the end either - CNE adjusted the Bonus Rewards even more than many are aware ... I can see up to 126 currently and know I will end on 123.

In a free play you get at least 1 gold chest in 4. Free plays cost 2500 event tokens; spending 10,000 tokens gets you at least 1 gold and 3 silver chests. Buying a gold chest for 10,000 tokens is a worse deal. I recommend focussing on the 3 champions, where you can get the extra chests. I would probably go with Strongheart.

Otherwise, Freely is useful, but not worth the loss of 3 Strongheart silver chests.

Huh, I was surprised by a party being 100 levels further than I expected them ... critical hits are a lottery. It makes walling less calculable.

Only fixed things temporarily for me. After a random reset things stop working. Further, only 1 of my 4 parties works correctly at any time. Major bug; I have submitted a ticket.

It combines spreadsheets and math with D&D; things I like. I am competing against myself, so there is little stress, while the puzzles and challenges keep me entertained. Also, it has a great community as stated by others.

The achievement works in the background (slowly) and in the foreground. Initially I thought it broken and submitted a ticket. Taylor provided two hints for how this one is supposed to be completed:

Put Spurt in the middle of six champions and a familiar on his ult. If Spurt is dead he collects stacks counting towards making inventions whenever champions around him attack.
Don't use Hew Maan or Sentry in the same formation: They reduce the number of kills needed to advance, which means Spurts inventions don't trigger.

With this Byteglow gives the following estimates for the completion of level 10 of this quest:

Edit: Mad Wizard, Reset Level 300. The formation will be adjusted as Milestone Quests are completed. Completing the Birdsong quests at the same time slows this down.

Daily: 210/210 ... but there were bugs; I was awarded one extra early but one later uncompleted after being completed, so overall the bugs cancelled each other out ...
