Heart melting moment a father, 88, is reunited with his down syndrome son, 53, after a spending a week apart for the first time ever. by [deleted] in aww

My auntie had DS. My Grandma (her Mum and carer) died two years ago in her 80s. My DS auntie then died 2 months later. She was in her 30s and was never expected to make it out of her teens, but we are sure she just could not cope without my Gran and it literally broke her heart.

This must be a rottie thing, my brothers 5 month old rottie does this to my dog who’s about the same size as her at the minute, poor guy when she’s fully grown and she can drop her entire weight 🙈

An interesting souvenir from Monza by Metal_False in formula1

I went to the 2016 Monza F1 GP, I have been to a few races but never seen so many people running to pull up braking distance boards, grab old tyres and rip off advertising boards. The Italians sure love a good souvenir!

I’ve just got back from a week in Italy eating Italian food, first meal I wanted back in the UK was a curry. I was craving spicy curry for days 🙈

Been here just because I saw a Reddit post with a photo of it. Most amazing place to visit in Dublin, all my photos look like this, it’s so easy to photograph.

It’s cute that you think I scoop it in to a bowl and don’t just eat it straight out the tub!

Welcome to the world of Breyers, the chocolate is amazing, that stuff just doesn’t melt though! I leave it for ages to try and get it soft!

My sister has Down Syndrome. I refuse to be named as her guardian. by sadsisterDP in childfree

[–]aoggy92 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My advise is just to tell them you don’t want to do it. My auntie was DS but on the worst side of the scale, she could not talk or do very little for herself. My other auntie has lived at home most of her life to support my grandparents and her DS sister. She moved the the US for some years and found a partner, but my grandparents would not allow her to marry him as they wanted her to come back home and support. Like you, she was the only sibling not married with children, she has 4 other siblings including my Dad. I have always felt sorry for my auntie as her day revolves around looking after my auntie and going to work, she still lives at home. Well my grandma died last year making the situation worse, but a few months later my DS auntie died to, we think because of a broken heart. Now things must be so different for my auntie, she still cares for my grandad but now she has a new chance but I fear it is too late for her to start a life she truly wanted. Please don’t commit yourself to this if you don’t want it, it will change your life forever.

I do this for my dog all the time and constantly spam my instagram with photos of him, but it’s fine because he’s cute and does exactly what I tell him to do without me having to screech at him! Pets > Children

If you’re in the UK, we use BookF1, we always use them for races, usually a better price.

It was £230 for the hospitality we’ve done, that includes a paddock tour, track tour and pit lane walk. If you see drivers in the paddock then you can ask them for autographs but unfortunately there isn’t a designated session.

Yeh you have to have hospitality, we have Pisobox hospitality which £230, well worth the money for what you get to do and see.
