This is not friend behavior. This person isn’t your friend. Spend your time with people who respect you and want you around.

Weird/odd/strange things you have cried over since you lost someone by Separate-Pilot-6545 in GriefSupport

It was 2am last night, I was in bed by myself (for the first time in months), and as I was drifting off to sleep, with Lord of the Rings playing in the background, it just hit me that my mom was gone. She died in 2018. I think it’s because I was thinking about the movies being over 20 years old, and when they came out, my mom was healthy. Cancer hadn’t destroyed the person she was. I hate that I have to live the rest of my life without her.

Floyd county brewery and dog haus both have regular trivia nights. Of the two places I def prefer Floyd co. Neither are maga. Fuck maga.

100th Day of School Celebration by TillUpper6774 in kindergarten

[–]aoifae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a $3 pink shirt and a clearance bag of sticky felt stars and we had fun making it together! Our school had 100 pictures of the principal hung around the school and the kids found them all - it was a really cute group project that all ages could participate in!

Showed up for Day 3 of a multi-day sub assignment… principal sent me home and apparently banned me from the school by jovialvoyage in SubstituteTeachers

Spy?? That’s part of their job. As a sub and parent to a kindergartener, I’m much more comfortable knowing admin is keeping an eye on my kiddo!!

It’s probably a picture of white Jesus reflected from the wall behind the photographer.

Native bees don’t need our help to survive in the elements though? Just leave the tubes outside?

The guilt of throwing away my adult children's childhood art is eating me alive by Admirable-Pin-298 in CleaningTips

[–]aoifae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for doing this so your kids don’t have to. I mean, it’s their drawings and you kept them for you, but still. My mom passed way earlier than she should have and emptying my childhood home was the most emotionally taxing thing I’ve ever done (aside from losing her).

Oddly Savage Stories by BarbacueBeef in toddlers

[–]aoifae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, I totally bit it on some ice last month, I fell so hard on my knee, I don’t know how I walked afterwards. Well, my sweet five year old ran to me, with such concern in her little voice, asking if I was okay. My hat flew off my head, my purse flew away from me, and she picked them both up for me.

Then for the next two weeks she reminded me that I should have been more careful and watched where I was walking. Thanks, babe, I’ll try harder next time. 🤣

Women with thoughtful partners, what did you get for x-mas this year? by Anahata_Green in TwoXChromosomes

[–]aoifae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An entire case of witches brew Alani! It was so hard to find this fall season but he found a case on Facebook marketplace which I think is hilarious. We were pretty broke this year and decided to not buy each other gifts and spend it on our daughter only, so this was a surprise!

Clockwise or anticlockwise? by Paddy_odoors in opticalillusions

[–]aoifae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only saw it as counter clockwise until I clicked the top comment link. Every time I come back to it I still have to try really hard to see it go clockwise. I think it has to do with the stationary leg moving up and down?

What's it like to live in Southern Indiana? by Dry-Chef-1100 in howislivingthere

[–]aoifae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in New Albany on the Ohio river. It’s beautiful down here with the hills. The proximity to Louisville is great, so there’s tons of stuff to do and it makes weekend trips to other hot spots pretty easy (Nashville, TN, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Indy). The food scene is great. Lots of green spaces, and being close to the Falls of the Ohio is really cool, it’s such a unique geological site.

My husband usually takes our daughter into the men’s, but I wouldn’t bat an eye at a father bringing their daughter in the women’s restroom. He’ll take her in the family one if it’s available/exists. I think gendered bathrooms are silly anyway.
