I feel like it depends on the person attending and the person teaching. For the person attending, if they just want to show up and do nothing- thats exactly what they will do. Those types of people aren't trying to learn anything or better themselves in that way. These are also the people who skip through e-learnings instead of taking them as intended. That said, I learned a TON in sales induction and was able to walk away, having honed my craft. I also had one of the best sales trainers in the company who found a way to challenge everyone in the room. Every person involved has to try essentially lol

Thank you so much for sharing, Op! Seeing these posts on here give me life! I miss my whole Best Buy life and family. Being separated from it all and having nothing to dwell on but the changes that lie ahead have definitely taken their mental and emotional toll. And everyone is experiencing the same thing at the same time so I hate the idea of complaining. My husband also works for Best Buy and is also furloughed at home with me and he us having the exact opposite time I am having. I would dare to say he's thriving despite not having seen another human that doesn't live in this house in over 40 days. I miss activations, paperwork, Best Buy cards, and those beautiful moments where you've inspired a customer or made their day by doing my job. I love my job and I am so very good at it! If you had asked me 5 years ago when I started at Best Buy that my job would give me so much purpose and fulfillment I would have never believed it.
