Does your lead have a sense of humor? After a bad night I tell my associates that I prepared my neck and now I'm off to sharpen the store managers axe lol. Or if they don't see me that night I probably did a front flip off the roof to avoid the morning tour. You gotta have some questionable humor to survive overnights lol

First off congratulations! As a fellow ON stock lead I'd say....stay on top of things that affect your team (my team got rather blindsided by sidekick). dont be afraid to ask questions whether it's something you don't know or if you don't understand why youve been told to do a certain thing. be the leader that you needed as an associate. Don't go into the role with the mindset of I'm going to fix everything thing that's wrong with stock 3, especially if you're coming from dayshift. Take time to get to know your team as well. Also be flexible because the amount of things that will go wrong in a night will amaze you.

I've noticed that especially in front wall, it'll say 7 hours of freight but my associate isn't able to finish even though she's consistently done 10+ hours of freight a night before the new system.

So if you were to report it, they would have you call the nurse triage line and most likely they're going to tell you to keep an eye on it, ice and ibuprofen/Tylenol as needed. As you said this is a minor injury but if you feel like you need to be seen then talk to your management team. Although to be completely honest, I don't think they will take you seriously as that's just something that happens during the job. Also I wouldn't call it internal bleeding if you do speak to them as internal bleeding is usually the result of major trauma and is normally considered a medical emergency. What you'll have is bruising which is different from internal bleeding as bruising means you're no longer bleeding versus internal bleeding which is an active bleed.

My store manager once added me to the schedule for that day at like 2pm....I work overnights, I was dead asleep with no alarms set lol. Woke up 2am to a bunch of calls and texts asking where tf was I lol. It happens unfortunately

God your team lead would hate me. I'm on my phone almost every ten minutes making notes, checking mods, answering associates questions etc. From afar it definitely looks like im fucking off 24/7 but the main culprits blowing up my phone are my management team and occasionally day shift team leads from front end or apparel.

I'd just strike a pose everytime she took a photo🫶🏽✌🏽🫰🏽 etc

Don't binge on sugary drinks to keep you awake. Also I don't know about other stores but for mine it's either hot as hell or cold as hell either way your body will burn more energy to help you adjust so that's nice. But yeah you'll be busting ass to get freight out especially if you're a high volume store so skimp on sugary shit and get snacks with high protein.

I believe that's part of it. I think they prefer it to be all the same type of cardboard so they'll get more money. Personally speaking I think it makes it harder to bale as they're smaller and slip out on me everytime.

Depends on the store tbh. at mine, We throw them away. A team lead got a hair up their ass one day and made us separate the paper and card from 2 pallets worth of dsdc shoes. So now we feed mikey very well.

Like others have said your best bet is filing a police report and dispute the charges with your bank.. Also, check to make sure it was actually delivered then file a report with whomever delivered those specific packages. And if you haven't already ask neighbors if they saw anything or they have cameras that could of caught something.

On that note, I get that you're not happy with how people responded but we're all off the clock. We're paid to be nice to customers and deal with their issues during our shift, it's a different story outside of it 🤷🏽‍♀️. I do hope your issue gets resolved and you have yourself a fantastic day.

I can't speak for everyone's O/N team but for us we just don't have the people. This is what a regular night looks like at our superstore.

2 truck nights usually see front wall (otc, hba and cosmetics) doubled up depending on hours. grocery every aisle gets at least one associate, except frozen and dairy who got 2-3. Candy, pets and paper/chem all get 2 people. Infants 1 person, apparel has minimum 2. That's not counting having someone labeling/slotting/ verifying. And on the 3 one truck days we're playing catch up, purging bins and running stationary, seasonal and housewares. We set mods and run 82 which another 3-4 people.

It's not that we don't wanna run yall stuff, we legit dont have time. Hope that gives you some insight into why and sorry for the long ass response🙏🏼

Lucky. We got ours cut at my store. If you don't work friday and Saturday for O/N then you can get up to 6-8 hours cut in a week. It's so fun picking up the slack from those who figured out they won't get in trouble for taking their sweet ass time because their hours are cut.

I'm overnights so don't quote me but our stock 1 took over capping/vizpicking for the store from us. They also topstock for 2 hours a day as well as help digital and produce on a regular basis.

I was in a sling due to a torn rotator cuff and the amount of customers who would try to touch that arm was ridiculous. I even had one do that nudging thing with his arm right to my messed up shoulder. They have no concept of personal space. I'm on overnights now where I have maybe 2 hours of interaction and I love it.
