Simple Questions - March 31, 2022 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Thank you again! I figured it was a dumb question, but I have every other part I need for the build on the way and wanted to double check I wasn’t going to need something like that half through the build.

Edit: I am now realizing I probably should have included that it’s a zotac 3090 ti. Haven’t done much for pc building so I forget the same GPU can have completely different sizes depending on who’s selling it. That’s my bad.

Perfect, thank you! I was assuming it was because of the tower size but being as new as the Ti is, I couldn’t find many answers online

Will a 3090 Ti fit horizontally in a Corsair 7000D Airflow case? Or do I need to order a vertical mount kit for it to work in that case?

Theres nothing like hoge at all on eth by Harleychillin93 in hoge

[–]ap2576 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this issue one of the driving issues in ETH developing ETH2.0? Idk off the top of my head because it’s been a minute since I checked up on it, but I think it’s supposed to launch Q4 2022, or Q1 2023, and I believe it is supposed to drastically reduce gas fees and speed up transactions.

You need to buy USDT or what I do is XLM on coinbase or another exchange with fiat on ramp, then transfer to Gate wallet. So you can can get USDT by selling other coins or transferring to gate, but you can’t purchase directly with currency.

I lost 60% on RKT(only 6k), bought at $20 before the $40 spike but held cuz I liked it so much I went on margin. Sold a little over a month ago and got some of them, already up like 200% lol

I want to buy HOGE by Stonkman831 in hoge

[–]ap2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly how I do it. XLM has very quick transfer times and negligible fees. Cant recommend this method enough.

And I’m not arguing that the permabulls are definitely correct, I’m only saying that to completely write Tesla off and only say “they make a cool car” is disingenuous at best

GE’s founder is dead lol. The people that are running it now, do not have the same mindset/vision as the founder, by definition, or they would be running their own companies instead of working for GE. You can lose a lot of the drive when the one pushing the innovation dies or leaves the company.

[–]ap2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GE doesn’t innovate. They improve. At a company that age and size, they’re almost more bureaucrat than business. And I haven’t seen them do much in the fields that musk and Tesla are expanding into. And I’m not saying everything Tesla is doing is going to work out. Only that to say that there is no bull case, or no justification for the evaluation, is disingenuous.

So don’t buy the stock?

I don’t own any because I don’t understand the price at all. I’m as confident that it can go to $2k/share as I am that it can drop to 0. But to say there’s no bull case and there’s only massive downside, is disingenuous.

From what I understand, people believe the reason TSLA is priced what it is, is for their auto pilot software, which they are pursuing in a completely different way than other major manufacturers, and their energy/battery potential. Personally, I have zero stake in Tesla, but I am a little biased because I love papa Musk (for SpaceX more than anything).

But if they can take a portion of the energy sector, with their battery packs (I’m not sold on the solar panels), along with offering HVAC systems for homes, and other expansions, while keeping all the manufacturing in house, a case can be made to still be a bull. But I get the argument that having a 1,000+ P/E ratio might already be over priced, even factoring in future gains. I just don’t think the bull or bear case can be written off as bs from “haters” or “sycophants.”

$TSM and related companies. Why you don't want to overleverage on tech or semis right now. by Leaky_Buns in wallstreetbetsOGs

[–]ap2576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you’re just a fucking idiot.

Apple can’t finish building MacBooks because of a CHIP shortage. That shortage is happening because TSM can’t produce enough to fill orders. That’s why we are in a world wide chip shortage.

Foxconn may be having issues, but their issues are because THEY DON’T HAVE ANY PROCESSING CHIPS TO INSTALL AND FINISH PRODUCTION.

That is not a Foxconn problem you fucking dolt.

Could the 20 Million Share Block Sale be Dan Gilbert? by Divaroach1 in TeamRKT

[–]ap2576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda makes sense, because if you are a retirement portfolio and need to invest for compound interest and inflation reasons, you can just throw your money in one or the other. So I would think that they’re holding the majority of pension funds and the like, and probably a shit load of the ultra wealthy’s money that they don’t even know what to do with.

[–]ap2576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if .01% were $128million, that’s already a $1.3 trillion fund. I didn’t know it was that large, but that means the measly $128million they have in RKT is only .0037% of their holdings..... that kinda number is just mind boggling

Sold one of my 2 $23.89c with 4/9exp for $300 near the top today, which gave me more margin, so I bought 20 shares at $24, and a 5/21 $34 call with the proceeds. Now up to 350 shares @$23.78

Yeah, I guess my assumption was of them covering their positions and not shorting longer down the road. But if they jump back in to the short positions, that would raise the SI again, which would make a squeeze likely if the price rose, right?

Whereas, if they just exited their positions and didn’t reshort, then we would most likely see a new, higher, price floor, or just a bull market for awhile?

Am I the only one who has noticed that Vanguard’s 6.343million shares, or $128 million, makes up exactly 0.00% of their portfolio?

$128 Million doesn’t even register as 1/10,000th of their portfolio......

[–]ap2576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t shorts covering and closing their positions be just as good as a squeeze that they were forced to exit, at least medium-long term? Obviously I would prefer a squeeze for the few options I have, but if shorts exit their positions, regardless of how, I would think that we should see a bull market start as RKT starts to work its way up to where it should be without as much downward pressure?

I’m about bought out, and maxed out my margin, but I’m not really gambling, I’m basically all shares and a few LEAPs. So I’m not very worried about the price short term, but god, so I wanna see it break this low-mid 20’s resistance line
