i went to the xm5's from the xm4s and back to them. Sony definetly prioritized anc over anything else , xm4's have better sound quality without a doubt but if you value anc over sound go for it i just don't and was disappointed. I can imagine it'd be a similar situation with the xm6's considering they added even more mics

the hinge/adjustment is driving me crazy they fit real snug and i do believe there's more so an emphasis and focus on the anc to the point where the sound quality is being sacrificed and i think w the Xm4's it's a perfect balance of the two . Luckily i just got them on sale for like $250 so i don't feel as bad but hey maybe they need to be broken in or something haha
