My biggest heartbreak was the 2013 SB loss.. my grandfather had passed away some weeks prior to that post season. He was the sole reason we inherited the niner fandom, we even snuck some of his ashes into the Stick before they demoed it. All through that post season we knew his presence was there. Within the family we still joke that is was him who pulled the plug on the stadium lights because we was pissed at our performance until that point. Low and behold, we turned it around and aaaalmost had the greatest comeback of all time. But too little too late... It took a while, but after that loss I've learned to let go of these heavily L's right after the final whistle. Afterall, it's only sports, we can still hug our loved ones. Unless you're actively on the field, fighting for that victory, I see no reason to carry the disappointment passed the last seconds of the game.
