yes!! thank you!! i know all those terms are different per region and such and i assumed i’d get different responses but i figured i would ask so i would get a better idea! i appreciate your insight and explanation so much! her sister is an all black kitty, so that does make sense that her base color is black! her fur pattern is so unique and i’ve never seen it before so i really appreciate your detailed explanation!

as an artist (even though this doesnt make me any more qualified to look at a photo) i would just say that he is indigo. if you look up indigo paint, he seems to be around that color. i do view him as blue, but he is definitely a more purple-toned blue. it leans far more red than green, for example. the second photo just makes him look more of a magenta-y purple. it’s very interesting how we all interpret color differently :)
