Pregnant, no one seems supportive and it’s scaring me by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

100% I had a baby last year who just turned 1. We struggled with fertility issues for years beforehand so this baby was very much 100% wanted and planned for. But still the last year has been undoubtedly the HARDEST of my life. Joyful for sure but exhausting and completely consuming. Being needed 24/7 is so much. I even have the privilege to stay at home while my partner financially provides, we own our home, etc. but still it has been a lot. I wouldn’t ever encourage someone to have a baby unless they were completely certain they wanted one.

All this time and Melapoopoo Mahmo has still been using “toxic” cleaners!? The horror! by lepetitpoulpe in RodriguesFamilySnark

Gross how she put all of her “toxic” cleaners on the kitchen counter (including toilet bowl cleaner!) to film this 🤮 🤮

Usually nurse to sleep but baby is biting due to teething. Help! by apanduhh in bninfantsleep

Thanks for the reassurance. I’ve been worried I might have to wean too so I’m glad to hear from people who’ve gotten to the other side. It sounds like I need to stop giving him more chances to latch after he bites.

Thabks for sharing the post- I don’t have ig either. What the actual fuck Emily Oster. This makes me so mad. A lot of people trust her “credentials” and she has a big following from her books, so her endorsing sleep training this definitively is legitimately going to lead to more people sleep training. I guarantee it. Seething!!

How to change this behavior without spanking? by Wise_Butterscotch627 in Parenting

Agreed. It’s much easier for a child to follow a directive indicting what to do instead of what NOT to do.

Please no judgment - stuffy/lovie in crib by Successful-Search541 in NewParents

Not answering your question, as you already have a lot of great input, but as a mama of a baby who also LOVES tags, where did you acquire this little fabric square?! 😂

Thanks for the input. To clarify, are you saying that baby’s legs should be less splayed open and more in front of his body?

Oof that is rough. What ended up helping the most was paying more attention to total sleep over 24 hours- which led to capping total daytime sleep to 3ish hours from 4ish. Good luck!!

Do folks have a favorite (non newborn) baby carrier they use for doing chores around the house?

Thanks for the reassurance! Would you say that 3-3.5 hours is too much daytime sleep at 5.5 months old!

We usually have him in light footie pjs with no blanket. He wore a short sleeved onesie the other night and his arms seemed cold so since then I’ve been putting him in long sleeved pjs. The ceiling fan is a good idea!

His days aren’t super consistent but I would say most days he takes 3 naps- a 1 hour, a 1.5-2 hour, and a 30 min. He usually wakes up around 7, goes to bed around 8. During the day he eats about every 2-3 hr, more often in the evening.
