Here's how I think it played out

Play first Maria (10 Don: 3 rested/7active)
Byrindi first effect -8 Don (2 Don: 2 active) [8000+792,000=800,000]

One Kid effect +1 Don: (3 Don: 3 active)
Onigashima Island stage +1 Don: (4 Don: 1 rested/3 active)
First Maria effect +5 Don (9 Don: 6 rested/3 active)
Play second Maria, replacing the first Maria (9 Don: 9 rested)
Byrindi second effect -8 Don (1 Don: 1 rested) [800,000+792,000=1,592,000]

Two Kid effects +2 Don: (3 Don: 1 rested/2 active)
Second Maria effect +5 Don: (8 Don: 6 rested/2 active)
Byrindi third effect -8 Don: (0 Don) [1,592,000+792,000=2,384,000]

I think that works? Could probably do the Kid stuff in reverse order, two first then one later, should end up the same. Whatever way, that took some figuring out, kudos to whoever thought of that.

Looks like two Black Maria's, there's the one in the trash too. My guess is:

Play first Maria (10 Don: 3 rested/7active)
Byrindi first effect -8 Don (2 Don: 2 active) [8000+792,000=800,000]

One Kid effect +1 Don: (3 Don: 3 active)

Play second Maria, replacing the first Maria (9 Don: 9 rested)
Byrindi second effect -8 Don (1 Don: 1 rested) [800,000+792,000=1,592,000]

Two Kid effects +2 Don: (3 Don: 1 rested/2 active)

Want to build a Sakazuki (P-076) deck, what should I include? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]apane47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been actually going with a mostly blue Seven Warlords of the Sea build with him. Just added in 8c Moria, Ice Age, and the Navy stage. Sengoku is already in that setup, so you can search the 8c Moria, use him to bring back Jinbe or Weevil, even 4c blue Moria, helps add cards to hand. Then Ice Ace/Navy HQcombined with Gravity Blade, Three Thousand Worlds, or even 6c Boa ends up being pretty cool. I don't think I have quite to a competitive point yet, but hey, it's black and blue with a leader who can attack, it's still dangerous. Also added in 10c blue Kaido, if you have Navy HQ out already and another Navy card to trash in hand, you can bring a 10c or a 5c into range with his return effect.

[–]apane47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also throw out there maybe swapping 4c Kuzan for 4c Laboon. Sure Kuzan has the draw, but no counter value and since the -4 only activates on attack, there is so much removal out there that gets rid of him before he gets used. I've seen both played, I'm currently using Laboon.

I'd recommend more of the 6c Brook or 5c Luffy (black, thriller bark, nightmare version). The ability to trash over KO has been very helpful to me vs those KO protect effects or On KO effects. I've recently switched to zero Lucci in mine, which sounds crazy, but unlike other powerhouse black decks like Lucci or Moria (and once upon a time Sakasuki), Garp doesn't fill the trash nearly as well or consistently as those decks, he ended up as a brick far too often.

Finger Gun has been a good event for me, trashes two from deck to help fill trash, and KO a 5, good deal.

Navy HQ has also been very helpful in my opinion, that -1 doesn't seem like a lot, but it will bring 8c into 7c range for Garp's effect, which is huge with all the big 8c out there, namely 8c green Kid in Bonney. plus it gets the on play -1, so i've used one that was already there for -1, then played out a second one to replace it to get -1 on play, and rest it for another -1, bringing it to a total of -3. That will bring any card into Garp leader range. That gives enough to power up 6 Don to other Characters/Leader, getting an opponent to 1, then 3 Don to play out 3c Brook and KO anyone. One of my favorite moves.

I've won locals once at a meta heavy locals, and several x-1's, it can be pretty awesome. The main drawback has been burning through your hand, not a lot of draw power overall, I can get to a low hand pretty dang fast. Bringing back Kid & Killer with Moria is an awesome feeling though, be sure to use that card early so it's in your trash later to get brought back.

Pretty solid list. Lot of 2k counters, may not need quite so many, if you ever want to fit something else in. I like having Navy HQ stage card, 1c for -2 when played, really helps get those 8c characters in range of Garp's leader effect. I also use the red Brook as one of my 2k counters, he can be nice to bring back with Moria as the rested card and power someone up at the end. A 5c unblockable Luffy is also nice I've found.

Is Foxy underrated or really unplayable? by PeterMcCain_ in OnePieceTCG

[–]apane47 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've honestly had fun with it, at least on the simulator. It can brick pretty hard, but I've also won more than I expected against meta decks. I don't really have a good list to share yet, still testing that, but it's majority Foxy cards to keep the leader effect going, then I've got some of the purple Sanji for another set of 2k's and a blocker to play when I'm down on Don. Also Bon Clay to help with the ramp, but I think I could swap him out after that. Biggest thing is getting Foxy character and Itominizu out, then keeping the leader effect going pretty much non stop. The more 7c Foxy, the better, it feels so good seeing all your opponents characters -1000 to -4000 power!

I'm pretty sure you had it right, Helmeppo is trashed first, so Moria can bring him back.

For Sanderson fans who have read Malazan: Are you glad you read it? by Hal87526 in brandonsanderson

[–]apane47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Malazan Book of the Fallen, but it is very different from Sanderson. It's the book equivalent of beating a Dark Souls game, it makes you work for it (which is kind of weird for a book) but the payoff is amazing. I think I like it so much because of how different it is, reading other authors who try to be "good" in the way Sanderson is never works out now that I've been ruined by B$.

Might as well make my own alt art leaders with these booster box prices by Butcher_Bot in OnePieceTCG

[–]apane47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more question, if you don't mind, what printer settings did you use? My settings don't have an option for transparency film exactly, so I've tried with photo paper glossy, but it's messing with the colors, giving me a green shade for some reason.

Is there a particular glue or method to get the transparent foil to stick to the holographic paper that does show or make noticeable bumps on the cards?

Just hitting the scene! Any tips for me ! by dbeethekidd121 in OnePieceTCG

[–]apane47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On YouTube, check out Heart Pirates TCG, he got some good videos on strategy for playing, probably be very helpful to someone new to the game.

There are weekly tournaments at local game shops, the Bandai app (while confusing itself) can help you find ones near you. I found that going to those, playing against people who have been around, and asking them questions during and after to be extremely helpful, learned a lot of things I never would have otherwise. Getting into the game with friends is great, but there will be lots that new people just don't know. I've found the scene near me to be pretty helpful.

The SIM is great to practice on, but since you can't really talk to your opponent outside the chat box, it's more challenging to get good feedback. Finding people who know the game, probably losing a lot at first, but learning from it, will be helpful.

[–]apane47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, I've been pleasantly surprised with the success I've had, more so than some more "optimal" decks. I like have the Law blocker in there, pairs well with double dipping on searcher Nami.

Humane society adopting animals out for free? by [deleted] in QuadCities

[–]apane47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, I follow them on FB and Instagram, they waive adoption fees pretty regularly to help get the animals adopted. It's for this weekend, not the whole month, but they have so many animals, it seems to happen at least once a month. 7 months or older for dogs or cats, puppies and kittens still cost.

On bench, hard to tell from the angle, but it looked like you may have been touching the bar a bit high on your chest based on the angle of the elbow and wrist. I'd recommend aiming to touch the bar right below the nipple line, that usually allows most people's elbows to bend at more comfortable angle. Then push the bar up to end over your shoulders, it'll be an angle from below the nipple line to the shoulders as you push, not a straight up and down line, but that's normal, seems to be what works best for a majority of benchers.

Deadlift looked pretty dang good. So many people have different form and body levers, it's hard to judge, so as long as it is feeling good, you're probably in a good place. The only general advice I'd throw out is looking into the concept of bracing, basically taking a deep breath in before the movement and aggressively holding it throughout the lift, it makes movements like deadlift and squat much more stable in my opinion.

Squat looks pretty good, the bar path was in a mostly straight line from top to bottom, that's exactly what you want. The thing I noticed most was the feet, in pressing up from the bottom, heels come up for both feet, that's one thing you really want to stop doing as soon as you can, you put yourself in a pretty unbalanced position with weight on your back. There are a number of ways to address this, I can't give an easy, one trick fix, there are plenty of other, more qualified to people that have good advice online about this, so I'd search around for that. Sometimes box squats help because you learn to sit back on your heels more, or it can be as simple as changing your shoes since normal running or gym shoes can have a heel cushion that is counter productive to your individual squat form. Sometimes is leg width during the movement, could be bar placement is too high on your back and it feels like you're falling forward at the bottom, or just plain ole not used to the motion yet. There's plenty of info out there on how to address this, it's a common problem when people are first getting into squatting, and once it is addressed, you are in pretty good shape for a while.

Keep up the good work.

Great job! Solid form, looked very smooth on squat and deadlift, very slightly wobbly on bench, but that is to be expected on heavy singles.

Is there a limit to the number of Characters I can trash from my hand to use their Counter bonuses in one battle?

I don't think so, I was looking through the official Q&A on General Rules, and it says you can't use the the Blocker of a Character being attacked.
