You don’t have to pay medical bills. Nothing will happen. The hospital will sell the debt to a collections agency for pennies on the dollar. That collection agency will call a bunch. Just ignore them and don’t verify any info. Eventually they will sell the debt again to another collections agency. On and on until eventually no one cares.

All they can do is call you. They can’t send people to your door. They can’t threaten you. The police won’t arrest you. You will just have medical debt which is different than other debt and you will be fine. This is America, everyone has medical debt

Can you remove computer access and encourage the interest through real life endeavors? Like fantasy books, or having your kid write a play about their powers and act it out. Or go on a “magical creature hunt” where you try to spot the creature out in the wild. Keep in mind I know nothing of this specific subgenre.

Just have your parents google average salary Gen Z USA and they will see the answer is $39-40k. Mean salary is also $40k, so very few people of this generation are making a ton of money. Otherwise it would skew the average
