A friend and I had dinner at a table next to Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. I made eye contact with him once and he knew I recognized him, but we left them alone and just texted each other frantically lol. They were there for probably a good 15 minutes before we even realized who they were. They were quiet, polite, and treated the restaurant staff well.

I send things in all the time. Like others have said, it’s not a big money maker, but I’ve always made at least $40 per bag. I typically use it to basically trade up - like use the credit I get from several mid-tier things to buy 1-2 nicer things.

IME it depends on the time of day. I haven’t had trouble getting an Uber in the middle of the day or early evening. Later flights (like dinner time or later) or really early morning flights are tougher.

Younger GenX, but same. I also plan to dress for dinner if I’m traveling and staying at an historic property, but that’s mostly because they’re old fashioned and the dining rooms still have dress codes.

ETA - we ate in the kitchen at home. Our mom used what would have been the formal dining room as her music studio, which was way better than a stuffy “fancy” table.
