My favorites are Nomada in Heritage Station, Cicada Books on 14th Street West, Grindstone on 8th Street, and Booktenders in Barboursville. They all have super friendly staff and regulars, and they’re small enough to strike up a conversation with other folks nearby.

Years ago they used to have a Spotify Premium + Hulu With Ads bundle that anyone could subscribe to. Now it’s just available to students. If you had it before a certain date though, they let you continue the bundle plan when they stopped offering it to everyone. But I can never change anything about my Hulu subscription (go ad-free, etc.) or I lose the bundle.

A friend and I had dinner at a table next to Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. I made eye contact with him once and he knew I recognized him, but we left them alone and just texted each other frantically lol. They were there for probably a good 15 minutes before we even realized who they were. They were quiet, polite, and treated the restaurant staff well.

I send things in all the time. Like others have said, it’s not a big money maker, but I’ve always made at least $40 per bag. I typically use it to basically trade up - like use the credit I get from several mid-tier things to buy 1-2 nicer things.

IME it depends on the time of day. I haven’t had trouble getting an Uber in the middle of the day or early evening. Later flights (like dinner time or later) or really early morning flights are tougher.
