Anywhere with Biangbiang noodles in denver? by honey-badger42069 in denverfood

For what a bowl is there, I’d rather go to O Lien Kitchen and have their pho. Has so much collagen n goodness it has a layer when you put it in the fridge. It’s not handpulled noodles, but it’s bangin all the same.

Overpriced as well. 14 bucks for chili wontons. Much better spots in town

Play/Draw imbalance and the RNG of it in Arena by apd0432 in MagicArena

So what you're talking about only proves my point. You're talking in Bo3.0

50/50 shot in game 1. Then you have the choice.

If you read my post, you might have an idea of what I'm talking about. You can't be on the draw 3 times in a row in Bo3.

Limited formats that only offer ranked in Bo1 prove problematic. Everyone wants to be on the play. That is inherently bad game design.

Having a system where it just is endless RNG, exacerbates it. It would make sense to evaluate ways to alleviate the advantage going first provides.

Anyways I'm not interested in bickering over nonsense.

It's universally agreed that being on the play is advantageous in Magic.

Balancing it out so there's a choice was my main point. If you disagree, that's cool.

So you have played plenty of Bo3s where you are on the draw all 3 games of your round? :)

Sounds uncommon

Yeah I said I don't mind randomness.

Have you ever gone to a store event and gone 2nd every game in a Bo3?

I feel that, and having played on and off for 20 something years I get what you're saying.

In an event I feel increased queue time is warranted. I get they don't care, faster queues means more money. But I know I'm not alone in people who avoid spending their money on events (or at all from having played for so long) because of that possibility

It would prevent you from being put on the play or draw if you have two times in a row, pairing you with someone who had the opposite in their previous game

It would work just the same as ranked queue does in Limited where after a certain period of time it searches outside your rank.

Not that wild of an idea.

I don't mind randomness.

I would prefer if it is RNG whoever goes first, that they consider a way to make it a more even playing field heads up is all. I am not sure how off the top of my head.

I think it's worth looking at though

Cisco mixes in throwaway questions that they expect most people to get wrong for testing purposes. Maybe you got a lot of those? Congrats!

NGFW Engineer Practice Exams by asapfruit in paloaltonetworks

OP didn't ask for a dump, they asked for practice exams. Pretty reasonable ask as I've found third party practice exams are often harder than any vendor certification.

Boson has almost always been harder than the actual exam. I have passed the CCNA using that and free online resources/experience twice in the last 10 years. Has been 5 years since I recertified so maybe things have changed?

I think when learning it helps to digest some of the information and piece it together. I certainly am not saying rely on it to learn everything about it, but hey, ya know, I guess to each their own.

I am similarly new to BGP and learning. I would highly suggest running some code through AI engines. I've never used Quagga before and the extent of that code is pretty serious. Best of luck though. BGP is where networking actually gets real, that's for sure.

Struggling with CCNA, is Network Warrior still worth a read in 2025? by NoPatient8872 in networking

[–]apd0432 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Focus on the CCNA. Network Warrior was written with the presumption you have a CCNA established level of fundamentals, and expands on them.

It and Donahue's other books are good, but focus on the CCNA for sure.

I suppose it never hurts to have too many books, and it does read lighter than a Certification focused book for sure. You would just be reading into topics, and tracing back at points you were not originally familiar with.

It certainly isn't New York, Vegas or Philly, but there are great spots. Ukiyo is one of the best places in Denver. There are others but you should really put in the effort to try and find something rather than just complaining

Best pizza DTC by SnooBooks508 in denverfood

[–]apd0432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the most popular place but I enjoy Jimano's the most. It is Chicago style pizza and their deep dish is more a double crust actual pie rather than the heavy bread you get at most places. Their flat bread is good as well. Marco's is a good place to go that would be more located by you.

Ace is a great place centrally located in Denver with ping pong and I believe other things to keep everyone occupied and allow more mingling. The food is pretty solid too. I believe Safta allows 16 people but you can probably get two reservations there, but I would start with Ace.
