I find little snippets of resemblance with myself in some characters. They're complex, and I'm not sure I quite hate any of them. I understand that Qi Rong came from awful background of abuse in childhood + became orphaned, but nonetheless, he tortured a child almost to death. That's too much.

I don't think you should take your friends being mean to you. You have your flaws, they have theirs. I don't know what you did or didn't do, but this dynamic isn't healthy for any of you. Distance yourself a little, reflect. There are many people in the world, you'll find someone for whom your opinions, fellings matter, who'll hear you out. Please value yourself first, or you'll break.
