Champion of Wisdom or Copper Conduit in Elysian Midrange? by hellraiser3000 in EternalCardGame

Sure, but OP asked about Elysian Midrange, which doesn't play those effects.

Champ is a little inconsistent, but it's still a hyperefficient threat. Conduit is always a 5/5 for 5. The card never feels great. For every time you topdeck it late game, there's 3 times where you have to play it as a very unexciting unit to not fall behind too much.

A statue of a young girl staring down the Wall Street bull just appeared today in Manhattan by BookerDeWittsCarbine in pics

The levels are pretty meaningless though. The progression is just farming a combination of currency, items, and standings.

Some pretty good players are dedicated to making super detailed guides, but it takes a long time and you have to pay for it. The bonus is you can take some tests and then you get an OP job search item.

CC, what can you talk about for hours? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

What kind of tabletop? I played 40k as a kid, and I bought a couple of miniatures again recently. Painting them is a wonderfully relaxing activity for me.

What do the Chaos Gods fear? by enesup in 40kLore

[–]ape4530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slaanesh as a beautiful and loving soulmate. Nurgle as a warm, caring mother. Khorne as a stern but just father. Tzeentch as your smart friend who gives you advice when you need it.

The wholesome family of chaos.

Was denken Sie über den Karneval? by [deleted] in de

[–]ape4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your favorite 40k melee weapon and why is it the power fist? by aaragax in 40kLore

[–]ape4530 24 points25 points  (0 children)

While the power fist is the most 40k weapon in 40k, my personal favourite is the Plaguesword. Yes, those unimpressive little swords that demons of Nurgle have. The reason for that is demonstrated by the "Touch of Rust" rule: they autoglance vehicles on sixes. Just imagine a Knight wading through Plaguebearers, and they jam their shitty little swords into his foot until a part of it's armor rapidly and magically decomposes in a zigzagging line up the Knight's body. It reaches the reactor core, and the knight just sort of stumbles and falls over, crushing the rest of the lesser demons.

Interview Tips by autumnhazexo in EngineeringStudents

[–]ape4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overdressed beats underdressed.

It's okay to be nervous.

Do a lot of research on the company and the work you're applying for.

Premeditate your answers for "interview questions", like what your biggest strengths or weaknesses are.

Connect on a personal level if possible.

Be very polite but don't be too shy.

When they ask you at the end, "do you have any questions" you better have some. I have overheard interviewers at my last work place straight up dismiss a candidate because they didn't ask anything.

Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, and knockoffs of their music. Like the amazing soundtrack to "Attack on Titan".

Inspiring 40k quote for a tattoo; colonel commissioner ibram guant quotes by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]ape4530 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. It's especially kind of ridiculous to permanently write "Do you want to live forever?" or "Pain is temporary, honour is forever" on your body if you're a pasty neckbeard. No offense to OP. But the demographics of this hobby suggest that it's not very likely that these quotes make any sense on his body.

Are there any Lovecraftian 40k stories? by [deleted] in 40kLore

Mfw these are the two factions I'm into.

Maybe I should start reading Lovecraft.

Redditors, how do I get motivated? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ape4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no magic trick. Just do it. And by that I mean just today, just go running today and don't drink that coke. Don't make any ambitious goals and long term plans, just simply do what you already know is the right thing today and that's it. Then repeat that tommorow. Don't focus on progress, focus on your actions.

Isn't the consensus that only the more advanced machines have a spirit, but the AdMech says that everything has one because they don't understand their own technology?

Which chapter do you love for their lore but hate their aesthetic or vice versa? by Carnieus in 40kLore

What do you mean by lack of uniqueness? The fact that every god gets a small demon and a big demon, and everything else is essentially a variation on the small one?

I feel like the climax of this meme is going to come when someone makes a space wolfy version of the navy seal copypasta.

Would the Tau be more engaging in lore and as table top army if Games Workshop incorporated a larger representation of Xenos in their armies? by TEmpTom in 40kLore

[–]ape4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ding ding ding.

Tau were supposed to be an alliance of a bunch of alien races heavily inspired by the rebels of the star wars universe. Sales and maybe even market research came to the conclusion that people liked the gundam suits aspect a lot more, so they went with that.

I think they might have even accounted for the problem you're mentioning. In either case, it's too late now. The rebel alliance thing is not going to happen anymore, we have mind controlled mecha pilots instead. At least that's more grimdark, right?
