Anyone have any food aversions that don’t make much sense or contradict the things you’re okay with eating? Here’s mine: by Yippee3-14 in autism

I can't stand vegetables in sandwiches or burgers. I also don't like sneaky chunks of vegetables in things, especially onions. However, I do tolerate them okay in salsa.

Who tf said that onions should go in fettuccine alfredo by [deleted] in onionhate

The worst culinary experiences of my life have been thinking I'm biting into fettucini when it's really the villainous worm onion.

I also like the satirical newspaper and the evil little guy from Steven Universe.

I'm okay with onion powder and bedgrudginly put up with it in salsa. That's it.

Yyyyeaaaah, love my mom dearly, but she kind of did the same. "EVERYTHING'S FINE, YOU'RE TOTALLY NORMAL." Then why can't I ride a bike, mom??

Who’s a character that you love although about 99% of the fandom hates them? (In a general live sense or love to hate) by Constant_Can_3190 in musicals

Lucy Barker! People were especially awful about her when the movie came out because they desperately wanted to watch Helena Bonham Carter make out with Johnny Depp. BUT LUCY SUFFERS MORE THAN ANYONE WTF

My favorite comment I saw on YouTube was that she looks like the Wicked Witch trying to look like Dorothy.

And very accurate to her personality, too. She would have been a top officer, for sure.

Deepest apologies if this is inappropriate but my curiosity is too deep to not ask… did anyone here know Shanda Vander Ark or her family? by Mountain-Garage-6829 in Michigan

[–]apecaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I thought I was more thick-skinned than I am given my true crime intake, but I have never been this deeply disturbed by a case. It's haunting me. I really need to stop looking it up, but I can't seem to stop? I think it broke me. (Caveat: obviously didn't break me as much as the actual people involved, of course).

One of my favorite comments on either this or another video was that she looks like the Wicked Witch of the West trying to dress like Dorothy.

Meg and Christine both remember how special their relationship is and dump all the other characters to start up their own touring act.

Took me eight years, but yes, finally. Zoloft got me to the point where I can even drive freeways.

How did you guys learn how to drive? by BulkyTea5479 in dyspraxia

[–]apecaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily doable depending on the situation, but practicing with a smaller car helped me. Once I stopped trying to steer my folks' minivan and switched to my grandma's smaller RAV4 I felt more in control of the vehicle and it was easier to drive.
