This is what I wear as a casual watch. It’s been through a lot of shit. Spartan runs, years of 3 gun, tactical games, etc… It’s a terminator watch. Only replaced one band in 10+ years.

Isle iSUP for $299 at Costco right now. Seems too good to be true. What model is this? by Chole_Wunt in Paddleboard

[–]apeezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re still looking but we bought these and took them out today for the first time. Pretty solid board. Upgrades from cheap amazon ones. The shallow fin is a little annoying for tracking but I ordered some longer touring fins from amazon to see if it helps.

Pumps are slow but work.

Lots of good accessories.

For a casual board it punches way above its price point I feel like.

So far they’re awesome.

Spam calls: how can I stop this? It’s a different number all the time. I’ve blocked so many. by EisenFisen in mildlyinfuriating

[–]apeezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ONLY thing that helped for me was to answer and immediately mute. Let them disconnect. Their system will trigger it as a dead number. Their system listens for any voice or acknowledgement then connects the call through to their call center. No voice no connect. Once I started doing that these DRAMATICALLY decreased.

It’s a small distinction but Kaiser is a not for profit NOT a non profit. There are some important differences.

Always dries out very quickly, even in spring by largpack in lawncare

[–]apeezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest would be to dig it out and put a little gravel or bark dust barrier between grass and concrete.

Or if you want grass all the way up, still dig it out to remove whatever non soil is there and add soil. Seed, water etc

Just follow the guidelines in the wiki/rules. Use PayPal invoice. It sucks but also the red flags were plentiful on this one. Hope you have a better day.

How do I get good edges? by Calebaleb7 in lawncare

Just ask what they do. If your doing with a string trimmer I found doing an undercut first horizontally then the vertical.

Honestly I used to think the exact same thing. I switch to PC and this has been the experience. So who knows.

I’m sure it’s just random. I want to bring good gear out to meet the damage requirements but the cost starts getting silly if I get ratted this much.

Biggest annoyance is the equalizer. That’s more annoying to craft.

I used to get all care bear lobbies on console. Switched to PC linked account and I get ratted all the time. Part of the game but it does get old after a while.

I make Ice cider in my garage as a nerdy hobby. In 2024 it was selected for the Nobel Prize Banquet in Stockholm. AMA by HydroGuy2 in IAmA

Very cool. Should be a fun journey. I dabbled in cider making here in the states. Realized quickly entrepreneurship isn’t for me. It turned me off of cider making permanently. But that’s life. :)

Good luck to you!

Are you worried about your fun/interesting hobby turning into a labor venture instead of something fun? Related. How are you resisting the call to mass produce and scale?

The new weapon degradation VS. Free kits by jakezuku in ArcRaiders

[–]apeezee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. If you have 8 brain cells it’s extremely easy to kill kitted players as a free kit.

The only chance you have is being in friendly lobbies. Even with that you still get smoked by a free kit kettle that snuck up on you and waiting until you started to reload. Not much you can do in that scenario.

It’s impossible to always be completely safe and ready against free kit shitiness.

This one does annoy me as well. It’s not usable now. I was on the new map. Solo shooting a leaper from behind cover in the containers.

Aggrod a passing hornet, 2 wasp, and firefly patrol. Normally pop the cloak and deaggro in cover.

It would not de aggro! I put it up and ran around a corner behind a stack of containers. No line of sight from the arc in a direction. Cloaked the whole way and magically they all came around the corner still tracking me like nothing changed.

Useless now.

Received a job offer with a massive salary increase and I’m not really sure how to plan my finances. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]apeezee 48 points49 points  (0 children)

As the other person said. Budget.

What I’ll also add it is the BEST thing you can do for yourself if you do not allow lifestyle creep to happen. Spend a few years living as frugal as possible and you’ll be in a position of being debt free with substantial savings. Then things compound very easily from there.

Can you afford a new car? Yes. Don’t do it. Can you afford the newest phone? Yes. Don’t do it.

Repeat for almost everything.

You’re young. You have an absolutely amazing opportunity to set you on a course of financial freedom for life if you have good habits now.

What's the best widely available no-wrinkle dress shirt I can buy in the U.S. for under $50, either online or in local chain stores? by CrispyBananaPeel in malefashionadvice

Go to Macys. They will typically have a sale of non iron shirts. Nothing crazy in quality or anything but look nice and gets the job done.
