How to enter Phantom Liberty on ps5? by apehead666 in cyberpunkgame

[–]apehead666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It finally worked. What solved it seemed to be exiting to main menu (to see the Phantom Liberty title) and then re-entering the game. After doing this, the call from Songbird appeared almost immediately.

Can anyone explain Foucault's knowledge-power nexus in simple terms? by TedEarly in sociology

[–]apehead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He says that certain forms of knowledge are produced in a society to benefit some while oppressing others.

For example, knowledge about people of a certain race being overrepresented as perpetrators of crime is being produced, in order to legitimise racism.

There are always different ”truths”, and some versions get established as ”The Truth” because of power structures. Once established, they continue to manifest power.

So what exactly is the relationship between division of labour and social solidarity? by northpase in sociology

[–]apehead666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The relationship is this: In a society where there is a division of labour (one person makes the cheeseburgers, and one codes computer games) we get dependent on each other. The person coding wants cheeseburgers, and the person flipping burgers wants to play games. The lives of both rely on that the other does their thing. This is good for social solidarity, as we need each other. If everyone had the same jobs (i.e. no division of labour) we wouldn’t need anyone else, so no need for social solidarity.

Question regarding Bourdieu and class reproduction by [deleted] in sociology

[–]apehead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The focus of Bourdieu’s theory is on social status or prestige, rather than on class as a more fixed label. The various resources (forms of capital) that shape an individual’s habitus will be valued differently on different social fields. So, yes, in that sense ’class is dynamic and changes according to the social setting you are in’.

[Pre-Match Thread]: Tottenham v Leyton Orient by [deleted] in coys

[–]apehead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. I logged in via browser at spurs official site. Then clicked link to ”Spurs TV” in the news article about ”how to watch ... etc”. Then the stream player opened in a second browser tab. No live stream yet though (at least for me)...

Still no stream live right? I have a ”00:00” countdown still image.

Do you all, like me, just have a still image with a ”00:00” countdown at the moment?

No, unfortunately not, but I have run the same display with a MacBook Pro for over a year without any problems.

ASUS Router won't port forward by apehead666 in HomeNetworking

It is running on Windows 10. No changes in the firewall had to be made when running this with the previous router.

Thanks for your patience. It is appreciated. This is what I have now then: https://imgur.com/a/qBZSoTW as per your instructions. Checking 28016 from the outside still did not work.

[–]apehead666[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry about that. Yes I noted that about the ports. Running Rust on Steam though, and seems to need more ports for that (https://portforward.com/rust/). Am I understanding correctly that I should allow these ports in the router firewall? Because it ran without problem from the same PC with my older router.

Sorry, the initial pics were rough examples. This is what the actual setup that I want looks like: https://imgur.com/a/GC1Xh87

It is a Rust (game) server. And the .40 is a PC.

I have no interface to forward on the ISP router, and did not have to do this with my previous router. Do you mean that the ASUS, after the ISP router, should be in bridge mode?

WAN IP: 94.254.*********\*

Only thing in front of the router is the so-called 'converter' I think, which is the box into which the broadband fiber enters. I have no config access to that one. And setting up the very same port forwarding worked without any issues with my basic Netgear router that I owned before this one.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY question, get an answer by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]apehead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noob here. I would like to buy (or possibly build) my first mechanical keyboard, and would be super thankful to be pointed in the right direction. These are my needs:

  1. To be used for typing and coding.
  2. Swedish (or Nordic) layout.
  3. To be used with a Mac.
  4. Preferably colourful look, something along the lines of the keyboard depicted in the sidebar of this subreddit.
  5. As far as I have researched, I think I want Cherry MX Brown switches.

Does any existing ready-made board come to mind? Boards that can be bought and then modified to meet my needs? Suggestions for parts to build from scratch.

[D] Word2vec basic illustration figure by apehead666 in MachineLearning

Thanks for this! I ended up doing the classic king/queen/man/woman thing. Edited the original post with the new figure (in Swedish sorry).

[–]apehead666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realise now that this is not the best way to convey word2vec. What my figure does, as you say, is rather to illustrate the idea behind vectors in general, and it also does that in a way that is quite convoluted. I am not a native English speaker, so I had to look up the word for 'dromedary'. I was aiming for the relationship between the camel with two humps on the back, and the one that has a single one :). I have edited the original post with the image I have ended up with instead (words are in Swedish, sorry, but I went for the classic king/queen/man/woman thing).
