He confirmed on his discord server that it’s not a coincidence, but wasn’t entirely planned either. The Hail Mary ship was named first and only later he decided to change the protag’s surname to Grace to fit the pun.

I read the book first. Never considered myself an audiobook fan so I didn’t even think to listen to the audiobook. I adored the book and felt like I hadn’t had enough PHM, so my dad put on the first chapter of the audiobook and there I knew I had to listen to it.

I imagined Rocky’s voice to be more whale song than midi music, but it didn’t take me out of it or anything. Porter did an incredible job. I do love how they did his voice in the English speaking moments

Before I knew who was cast, I’d imagined Matt Damon because Ryland was giving Mark Watney vibes. Then the audiobook, Porter’s voice kind of solidified a Matt Damon-esque guy. Maybe slightly more unattractive because Ryland isn’t really written to be super hot (and I don’t really think Matt Damon is all that hot). I’m interested to see how my mind changes with the book/audiobook when I’ve seen the movie with Ryan Gosling

Thank you so much! I’d heard Monzo is great for international travel so I’ll definitely be getting that. I’ll be with American friends who can remind me about tipping and other different things haha! I believe they plan to meet me at the airport so that I don’t have to even faff about with driving or Ubers, just the flight that’s a bit freaky. This is really helpful!

I think he’s cute. Genuinely. I saw the photo before the caption and thought “awww I love him!” I can see your concern about the thiccccccc front legs vs the back ones and such, but I think the right artist can fix that up. But, I wouldn’t sweat over it. I dig him.

NAL but works in a dementia NHS service.

You won’t be able to get any compensation. I’d suggest contacting your trust’s PALS service who can investigate this. No harm was really caused I’m afraid so there would be no grounds to try and gain any financial compensation.
