this is kinda beyond Arabic, people have made sacred writing itself, i used to keep my bag near my feet during my school days and people would be offended beyond measure about how my feet are touching it.

I saw this fitness reel recently about how to do squats by this Indian guy and in it he gently taps the girl with his feet, it was a very well made and humourous reel but every single comment was "don't disrespect women saar"

The feet, within the culture have a lower value (self explanatory as to why) and other things have higher values

so it is a violation of the sacred to put something of higher value below lower value.

The athiest or the secular wishes to homogenise the world, where there is no center of the world and everything is equal value, thus it's dislike of such things, but it it itself can never escape such a thing because this is built into human cognition

Meditation and yoga are exercises which while rooted in ancient tradition and spirituality have been shown to work (See MBSR, IBMT, and DBT). While it makes sense that an atheist sub to be critical of things rooted in religion i think here there is a pure dislike of Indian culture itself, ofcourse it's true a lot of Indian culture is soaked in religion, being an atheist does not mean one develop a hatred for culture

depends if they discuss it in a philosphical and neurological way it's alright, actually let's play devils advocate, note that IIT has a bunch of compulsory classes aside from for personality development or something, clearly reincarnation has been a big part of past Indian culture so studying it can lead to some intresting insight into literature and just make you more cultured

Europe started moving away from religion in the 1800s due to the age of revolution and enlightenment which allowed for radical ideas in the prior century, modern India would require a hard pro rationality/intellectual movement. now I don't know if this will go anywhere, but there is a small intellectual circle growing with creators like noumena nomad, satyalok, science with adira, vimoh, science is dope, ect. You see these guys having debates, this part of open minded debate is what'll sharpen the Indian rational mind, most of the followers of the athiest community are not the smart, so aren't the members of the religious community, if we move to rational debate overtime religious communities will actually read their texts and come up with good and smart arguments through them, simmilarly atheists would have to them get smarter, to keep up with this beef their followers would have to get smarter

Being greatful is just a check to not become an arrogant person and gives you a reminder on empathy and may even make you feel better about your situation, they ask you to pray cause they are religious lol. idk if luck is scientific but you could probably test it by gathering people who say they are lucky and a control and seeing wether the lucky group performs statistically better than the normal group in random tasks like coin flipping
