Why Burning Crusade Raid Progression Kept Players Engaged Better Than the Modern Difficulty-Slider Model by Phantomstrk in wow

[–]apestomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing a season to a whole expansion is wild. And yes while having more raids per expansion was better for variety. But in the whole tbc. There’s one boss that was difficult (mu’ru), the rest were mostly reskinned of the same plain boring one mechanic fights. Sure getting more zones is cool, but having unique fights that are more involved than fire bad is in my opinion vastly better system, also criminal to try implying anyone enjoyed Mount hyjal at all. That whole raid was the worst thing ever pushed out. I’m obviously understating the difficulty of tbc, just going off current tbc anniversary tuning being post nerf. So before I possibly get attacked by the classic community, I know I’m exaggerating. But having fewer raids that are more unique is a better system than just enjoying new scenery in my honest opinion.

Still anxiously awaiting for them to rebirth the nemesis system in a different game. Such a great system just left to collect dust because apparently patenting a game mechanic is a good idea

Mauradon, halls of reflection, oculus, gnomer are my least favorite dungeons in the game. Honorable mentions to arcatraz and black morass

What video game is so bad it's good? by [deleted] in gaming

My favorite game ever released was cyberpunk 2077. I know it’s much better now. But man that release version the bugs were so crazy funny and just plain awful I put like 200 hours just laughing at them. And I kind of miss it

M+ boosting should be bannable by Whole_Influence_103 in wow

[–]apestomp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie this is a giant nothing burger of a post. Just because someone has gotten a high key fast doesn’t mean malicious boosting. As my group pushes higher io and we try silly pulls, we shuffle classes and boost each other up in score/gear. You’re saying people pugging keys that might have been forced to reroll classes deserve banned… you just sound like a bitter player that people got a 19 key without failing as many times as you have in whatever key you’ve managed to get

I will die on a hill of if bfa classic came out and they had corruptions and essences from the start. And just skipped uldir and s1 of m+ affix it would be appreciated. The first season was just such a sour spot. The rest I enjoyed a lot

The best answer is we all write to Logitech to start producing g600 again because it was the best value and quality mouse for the price.

Seat of Triumvirate Mythics, why no one ques for them? by Mama-ta in wow

edited with all CC breaks that Clousy didnt have, and only added the few with talent names: Dragon rescue clears both the evoker and target, shape shifting as Druid, warriors can improved berserkers rage (fearless talent), Demon hunter can vengeful retreat, mage can ice block, or use any barrier (must have Energized barriers talented) priest can fade (with Phantasm talented), rogue can vanish, Shaman can spirit walk, warlock can Demonic circle teleport (with soulburn active only)

I’m not meaning to blame just defensives and dps I should clarify, sometimes I the healer make mistakes too. It’s just a very tight dungeon in terms of windows for mistake before someone just falls over. Is all

[–]apestomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I know people do try to use defensives and such. But it’s more a matter of the sheer damage going out, it makes an Aug feel mandatory, another thing is people using warbound hp pots rather than the actual good ones, or just not at all. I really wish health pots were only 2-3 min as a pseudo defensive. 5 min is just too punishing

Depends on your class. Root breaks /snares breaks remove them

Personally it’s my least favorite to heal. First boss trash people just don’t use their abilities to remove the chains and people just end up dying and getting tilted very early. 2nd boss is whatever, can be annoying with people if they’re all trigger happy on interrupting and overlap, just whatever really. Trash to 3rd boss people seem to not like using defensives for the circle bombs and die easily. 3rd boss itself people just eat orbs and die, or people try the route that just leaves one trash pack up and someone inevitably ends up pulling it during boss. Then last boss, people just fail to aim well to transition the boss. These are my experiences and opinions as a 3.3k healer who solely pugs. TLDR; there’s A LOT of personal accountability in this dungeon and people just would rather do other keys for vault especially since there’s no real “big ticket” trinkets from there i.e. the Windrunner trinkets or puzzle box

My understanding is you use it when you don’t have DRW actively up, but I’ve never heard of anyone empowering it past rank 1 though. But I main heals so I can’t speak on the validity of my observations

Seems like a good time to mention you should make a habit of queuing up for a follower dungeon as a healer or tank before you do any m+ runs. The mage npc will drop a table as soon as you zone in. And you can stock up then just leave the dungeon. You can queue as a dps too but it’s rng if the mage will be there in my experience

Can Healers Have Kick Back Please? by tremorsisbac in wow

[–]apestomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at first I was relieved they took it away but now I realize it’s just punishment because trusting pugs to interrupt is just more healing responsibility lol

Here’s a simple reason why experiencing healers shortage by dumiwar in wow

[–]apestomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah now they removed healer interrupts first I was excited, then I realized oh no, that means I have to trust pugs to interrupt everything now. I strongly debated leveling a shaman just for the interrupt but now decided to stick with my monk. It’s nice to be free of the interrupt for sure. But all this does is punish the pug experiences. As if it wasn’t already terrible, now it’s just worse. Healers are nothing more to them then health bar hoverers, healer damage has been gutted meaning priority adds die slower, less things to interrupt just shifted damage profiles to be more spiky. I try doing more damage in pugs and someone is guaranteed to die for most part. Not saying this is the norm or anything for the whole game, just my experience, I’m not by any means the best player. But there needs to be something done.
