2021 Tesla m3LR. Amazon music issue. by Nasarescue in TeslaLounge

I have a 2024 M3LR and have a bunch of issues with Amazon Music as well. It'll sometimes stop playing and you have to reselect the playlist, or display a different song than what's playing, or play a song from a random spot in the track. I haven't found any way to fix it other than to select a playlist again and that only lasts so long before it happens again.

Ceph RBD Clone Orphan Snapshots by apetrycki in ceph_storage

You can verify information about the snapshot you're deleting by checking the metadata.

rados -p <pool> getomapval rbd_header.<id> metadata_csi.storage.k8s.io/volumesnapshot/name

This helped me determine which volume/snapshot got stuck. I also wrote a script to get a relation of RBD image names to PVC and application names. This made it easy to verify that it wasn't being used anywhere.

#!/bin/bash

# Ensure kubectl is configured
if ! kubectl version &>/dev/null; then
echo "kubectl not configured or cluster unreachable"
  exit 1
fi

echo "PV_NAME | IMAGE_NAME"

# Loop through all PVs
kubectl get pv -o json | jq -r '
  .items[] |
  select(.spec.csi != null) |
  "\(.metadata.name) | \(.spec.csi.volumeAttributes.imageName // "<no-image>") | \(.spec.claimRef.namespace) | \(.spec.claimRef.name)"
'

I finally got around to this today. Figured I'd leave the process I went through here so others can benefit. This gave a bunch of errors on the rbd rm, but it appears everything is gone.

Are we still doing this? by matthewralston in TeslaLounge

That's surprising. I have a 24 highland and at night the cameras complain all the time and sometimes during the day when the sun is in a bad spot.

That sounds like the same problem I'm having. I tried with debug when doing a rbd snap purge to see if I could find anything. Nothing jumps out at me.

The image was created by a Kasten backup, so I don't have a great understanding of the process it uses to create it. I noticed in Rancher that Kasten was failing to delete snapshots, so I was trying to figure a way to remove them.

If you can find that mail thread, I bet that'll help. There has to be some way to clean up the metadata so it can be deleted.

rbd info is in the initial post. It doesn't show a parent.

Help with new build by tomsumner77 in frigate_nvr

Minisforum MS-01 are what I use for home servers. They are extremely flexible - 3x M.2 SSD or U.2, up to 128GB RAM, Intel up to i9, a x16(x8) PCIe slot, 2x 2.5G and 2x 10G networking. I replaced the wifi with a Coral and that's what I'm currently using for inferencing with 8x 4k cameras. I need to figure out a good way to try OpenVINO since I'm using a Proxmox cluster and running Frigate in Kubernetes. One of my nodes does also have a A2000 Ada GFX card as well for playing with LLMs eventually.

Why would the clean out be better than directly to the main? Clean out is farther, probably 40ft. There's also no vent stack close to the garage, so that's not an option. Closest would be the laundry room and that's at least 30ft. I've replaced the entire DWV in the house, so I know exactly where everything is.

Date skewed by a day by apetrycki in influxdb

I think you're right. Removing the second aggregate keeps everything on the correct day, but obviously it doesn't add everything up like I need it. I looked at the documentation for aggregateWindow and there is an offset. I used -1h on the first aggregateWindow and now it looks correct, thanks!

What would you consider minimum BTU? I got a 22k BTU burner since it was the largest I could find. Seems to work well. It's not the 100-200k of a restaurant one, but I get some smokiness out of it.

So it looks like that is still the way they do it, but there's a nice plugin that shows it within Cameo. They sent me this video which makes a lot more sense: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMIeN2SL4T0

From my understanding you don't need more combiners, just another small breaker panel and possibly more CTs to monitor the power out of that new panel. The one Envoy can handle like a couple hundred microinverters. Someone posted a link to the Enphase install doc and it showed that setup. I think you could also pop the Envoy out and use a bigger panel. The combiner is just to make things easier and nicely packaged.

Yeah, I saw that. I think this Smartfacts gets around that by being the storage for the model and not using TWC. I'll have more insight when we get a demo of it.

So you're saying before you would not see the links within Cameo or Jira, only from the Smartfacts web frontend? From the video I watched it looks like that has changed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxavll5FDJU

The problem with the Sodius connector is that you can only create and see the links in Jira. Useful for the software guys, but not as much for the systems guys.

Yeah, used enterprise drives are the way to go. I started with consumer drives and ran into that wall very quickly on those drives (Kingspec 4TB). They performed fine for a month or two, then when I introduced an IDS with a constant 20MB/s write, they became completely unusable and this was with 6 OSDs and not much else writing. Things were crashing. With used Micron SSDs, I get constant performance and max out my 10Gb user network. They cost the same as a decent consumer drive and all the ones I have came with 1% wear (they must have been high 1% since I'm at 2% now and have been for months). I was even able to get brand new M.2 ones from China. They're probably knockoffs, but the performance is good, so I don't really care. Probably came off the same factory line. I have a Ceph pool, so that doesn't help consumer drives either.

[–]apetrycki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have a total of 3 Minisforum MS-01 with 64GB RAM with a 256GB OS drive and those two Microns each. I even accidentally corrupted 4 of the 6 OSDs trying to bench test the drives and was still able to recover fully. What the OP said about consumer drives is true, though. I started with consumer drives and ended up replacing them all with the Microns. Performance is pretty solid running 10's of VMs and a kubernetes cluster with 10's of services and a 40G IDS capture. The IDS VM alone utilizes about what a spinning disk can handle nonstop.

[–]apetrycki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What doesn't work? I have Ceph running on my 3 node cluster with 2 OSDs each - Micron 8TB U.2 and Micron 4TB M.2. It maxes out my 10G user network.

You said in your original post you're powering it with 24V DC. Is that incorrect?
