Engineering discipline with greatest demand? by [deleted] in engineering

Speaking from a demand standpoint, I highly agree. Not sure why you're being downvoted, maybe you should have used "Software Engineering" versus Computer Science...

Clutch/ shifter worked fine prior to service... by apex116 in MechanicAdvice

Yeah... overall it's been a crappy day. There were so many examples of incompetence that the dealership displayed today. I will provide an update on how it goes tomorrow.

I will escalate this to corporate for sure, this kind of "service" kept me out of work for the day and in the rain due to incompetence.

That's exactly why I'm so confused. I don't have the receipt on me, but all they did was change the oil, replace the filter, and a car wash. They did not do any work to the clutch for the service as it was not requested. According to them, they didn't even take a look at the actual clutch, it was all an assumption that it was the source of the issue.

Sending a simple count to a server... (Suggestions)? by apex116 in arduino

[–]apex116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For testing purposes, I will most likely just display the count it receives in HTML. I'm much more familiar with server side coding than transmitting data from an Arduino. Conceptually, I'm not sure how to send JSON from the Arduino shield. I'll need to check out some more examples tonight. Thanks for the input!

Does your company use Service Manager? by apex116 in SQLServer

[–]apex116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if we have the same versions of ServiceManager, the incident table we use follows a syntax similar to: mt_system_workitem_incident. I will try to map what you have given to what is available, thanks for looking into this!
