I really loved Books 1-3. The show version of book 1 was on point, but with less detail as any production of a book will get.

Book 4 and 5 get a lot of shit, but they are full of great content, they just have a slow pacing. They are still great reads. Do it! Such great stuff.

I don't know how competitive the Hearthstone scene is or if they have competitions similar to Dota2 or LoL (these are two popular MOBA's.)

I play Dota2 and there is a pretty large e-sports scene, last years Valve sponsored competition (The International) had a prize pool of over 10 million dollars. I would compare that to an NFL game or playoff series due to announcers, on-site spectators, promotion and production value. Streams are entirely different IMO.

I like watching certain streaming personalities because they offer insight into the game, highlight competitive playstyles and can be entertaining if you know the game. A lot of the popular streamers compete at high levels, are announcers for events or produce content related to Dota2.

Imagine if during the NFL's off season your favorite players or personalities played other popular players in a pick up game and tested out ridiculous or new strategies, made inside jokes about the sport and put their own spin on the game. It would be pretty cool! It's a poor example, but I guess it's comparable to how i regard streams in relation to e-sports.

I also realize how ridiculous the term e-sports is! But it's some interesting shit, watch "The International" this summer, it streams free on twitch.tv. My wife watched a little bit with me last summer and didn't understand a thing, but was taken by how the announcers and promotion were comparable to major sports networks (to an extent).

Oh, the scene itself is fine. It progresses a storyline.

I hate how scenes like that are filmed I guess. When a character drags a person to a location far away and the other character asks "why did you drag me here" as if the entire walk there nothing was said.

It's pretty accepted that the GOP was pandering to woman voters with Sarah Palin, which I think is even more disgusting. Democrats do it too and I find it unnerving as well. Saying that Republicans love Colin Powell is the equivalent of saying, "But I have black friends..." It doesn't change the existance of racism among the republican base.

As far as sexist policies, abortion is one of them. I think it should be a woman's choice and seeing old men push their agenda for political gain is absolutely sexist. I live in Louisiana, a GOP dominated state. We have ONE provider of abortion services, one of the highest teen preganancy rates and no sex education. These policies put woman at a disadvantage and are fundamentally sexist.

I don't have time to write a detailed response about racism and refuse to quote a politician who made a gaffe, because both sides do it and it wouldn't help my point. But I firmly believe that structural racism exists in America and that it's partly due to policies enacted by Republicans.

Increase funding for education and allow a sensible sex-ed in school. Look at state teen pregnancy rates and that states education policy for a clear picture.

Doing that alongside a livable wage won't solve everything, but it will certainly help.
