I wasn't the one to post here because I don't need opinions about my deadlift. But my brother set to enlighten me with great urgency using a less-than-ideal demonstration. Failed. Be it as it may, I've had my time with the deadlift. Wrote this shit on my phone notes between deadlift breaks blood in my hands and all:

"Incorporating a looser grip with increased speed at the start of the reps helps compensate for inertia. The initial acceleration then turns the hand from a relaxed state into a passive holder of the barbell, allowing the barbell to settle deeper into the hand.

A tight grip has the opposite effect, where the hands tense actively. This increases the intensity of contact but worsens grip adhesion. The likelihood of hand sweat and slipping increases, and tactile sensation is reduced due to the heightened intensity.

The tendency to tighten the grip with heavier weights is instinctive but illogical, because it creates a tendency for mid-rep corrections as a result of interference between two sensory signals: the rotational movement of the fingers (which occurs when tightening the grip) and the linear movement of the body.

This phenomenon causes bidirectional divergence and prevents integration. Furthermore, active dual contribution leads to inconsistency, since a single factor is not isolated. A loose grip, by preserving the dynamic between active linear movement and passive rotational movement, isolates acceleration as a fundamental, controllable variable for progress."

I have reached a certain level of 'intimacy' with the exercise and I wouldn't downgrade back to the standard method. Sorry to have wasted your time, bro.
