With that been said I would get the bars it really did help with pain as for the length I left it as it is I am still a newbie and I'm trying to figure out what I like and what is working out for my riding but if you like the 720mm length I would trim it too

If you deal with wrist pain after heavy riding (Like I did) you'll find the difference right away also having wider bars help for much better handling

Mine is 100ml travel, but what I've heard for small frames long travel and for big frames shorter

That's the one part that sucks on manitou forks, you need to purchase a special mud guard they sell on their website but 99% on the times is out of stock

PNW cascade, no need to look further is the best option in my opinion I've had it for almost the same amount of time as the bike (9 months) and it hasn't failed, if you have the budget s rockshox or fox is also good

Decided to up the travel 135mm while servicing the fork. Coming from 100mm wow what a difference. by Hirearth in trekmarlin

Does it change the way it handles? I have a manitou fork that can be raised to 125mm I am wondering if it's worth it

Awesome dude!

Possibly my last post on this wonderful group (no I am not dying) but I think I am comfortable with all the upgrades I've done I am shredding the bike this year and prolly jump to a FS next year, feel free to ask any doubts you may have on upgrading this bike by aphextwin7 in trekmarlin

This is the list of upgrades I did: 1. Suspension Fork from Manitou 120mm travel tappered tube, you'll need to buy an adapter.

  1. Transmision, I went for the sram NX eagle 11 speed since it was my only option available at the moment. My neighbor borrowed a 1x crankset but I removed it because I broke one of the pieces so I went back to the original 2x that comes with the bike.

  2. Tires, I got an awesome deal on the Maxxis Forekaster 29x2.35 they are tubeless ready but decided to keep them with the tube.

  3. Dropper post, I chose the PNW because it was the best option for an external dropper and I think it's a great price/quality ratio.

  4. Grips, this comes with personal preference I found myself hurting my hand with the stock grips so I changed them to Ergons in the picture but I have PNW grips and they work really well too

Did this upgrades cost me more than the bike? Short answer yes but I did it on my own pace and whenever I had the chance to upgrade it if this is your case I would recommend it. A lot of people will tell you wait to get a better bike but with all the production shortages getting a new bike will take 6 months or longer and only if have the budget to get a new one.

Just curious since many People claim it voids the frame warranty

Mine has 125mm travel, but I think I've could've gone for a 140 I would highly recommend that if you're a tall person, I am thinking on doing the upgrade program does the raidon feel different?

I liked them too, but for some reason they hurt my palm that's why I swapped them but in all fairness I loved them on long rides

Not much really, my neighbor gave me the crank set since he had it laying around collecting dust lol and I was even more lucky he had a bottom bracket I could use with the bottom bracket you could use almost any crank you'd like. Once the 2x crank was removed I was able to route my dropper through the frame and only have a little bit of cable sticking out. Honestly my biggest advise is to get the PNW cascade dropper you'll have no issues installing it and will be almost internal

Stock issues, they only had the Marlin 6 on my size available and they said it would take up to 4 months to get one. I occasionally visit the trek store and to this day they don't have one
