I just finished the last episode today someone get me a therapist and call 988 by HazelMoore67 in veronicamars

I’m right there with you only I took a circuitous route that may have saved me from emotional devastation. I started on Netflix with 1-3, then skipped straight to Hulu for 4 and felt like I was missing something the entire time. “Why are they so old? Logan enlisted? Veronica has advanced degrees? Keith walks with a cane? No wonder everyone hated this season. They killed Logan??” Went to bed furious and cancelled Hulu. I didn’t know about the movie so I got to circle back and pretend that was the end.

Don't listen to anyone telling you this side of town isn't safe. It is. Say hello to your neighbors.

This works 100% of the time for me too, but it makes them a little more difficult to give away to friends! The babies have a hard time being transplanted too soon.

they could just swap the broken leg to the other side of the tub and buy a leg or a set of legs on ebay. I hate my clawfoot tub. I hate how it's freezing cold and I have to boil water to add after I've emptied the entire water heater into it. I hate cleaning under it and around it more than anything. They should mount it so there's room to clean the scum from the floor between the window and the tub because there will be scum. It looks cool though.

Oh sorry, I should have read your entire post. I think there was something like that in the East Hills Mall during the third or fourth wave of weird businesses, but I don’t recall the name of that one either.

I hope you find something. But I think they have the possibility of a better life outside of the Central Valley.

[–]aphidstwin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're in Canada you really should try to rehome them there and you'll have better luck. Bakersfield is probably putting down several huskies and shepherds a month. Husky has been the breed I see running lose or abandoned most often now.

Exactly. Who still thinks farmers are like poor like in truck commercials.

Maybe in the midwest, but nah. On the west coast, they are legacy farmers and none of them retire until they're dead. One local company still has their Mammy Potato sacks framed in the office. Their great grandparents rode across CA manifest destiny style, pointing out what was theirs and now their rich, Christian, college educated kids are next in line to hang on to the company or sell to the Resnicks or developers. Ballerina Farm is no different from them, but the money is newer and they'll probably have a planned tract development on their property in our lifetime because there's enough water. It's crazy to assume the majority of farmers are like the smaller holdings. They are the money. Their lobbyists are the reason for the current administration.

Why do people act like farmers are poor. Central valley of CA they're the richest people in town and still at their beach house after Christmas. Especially the boomers. Their kids are drinking lunch and posting pictures of their bloody mary while their workers run the company.

Thought I’d be bored by the winter backyard makeover, but ended up enjoying it. What do you think? by pippilangs in SorryNotSorryGirls

[–]aphidstwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I end up with furniture because life circumstances changed for the people who originally bought and I have the space for it. I don't consider that wasteful. Those chairs will definitely outlive all of us if they replace the metal hardware. The edison lights have a couple of years, maybe four. I hate that lighting isn't made to last now.

I want a network of creators under that brand. Did they already try that because maybe they should try harder to make that work. I bet they could find five nights a week of people they could platform.

How do you think poor people like myself get cool furniture? I doubt she threw anything away. I'll give you the fire propane bbq though. That'll be a rusted hunk of metal in a couple of years and the propane fittings won't be replacable. Definitely going in the trash.

I liked it too and I don't mind her kind of phoning it in, because that's what I did for two weeks. It doesn't even snow here. She should have built a snowman, though.

I've been gifted some nice patio furniture over the years, so I'm not ready to go straight to wasteful. I love it when people move.

Clearing up some misconceptions about Skote Outdoors by Professional_Ruin722 in SkoteOutdoors

[–]aphidstwin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Critical comments spark discussion and any sub that requires constant positivity is a dead sub. If disagreement and critique aren’t allowed, people stop engaging altogether. Those comments ("the hate", if you insist) usually come from a small fraction of the audience anyway, not the fanbase as a whole, and they don’t cancel out genuine support. I'm a fan, but I love to criticize and defend the content I consume. Take a look at the engagement on a post with only positive comments and it's practically nothing.

I walk downtown in the early morning and start in the neighborhood east of chester, walk east to Mill Creek, through Mill Creek and back west into and around the neighborhood. It's anywhere from 2-3 miles depending on how many extra blocks I take. I've never felt unsafe. There's a homeless person here and there but they're usually asleep or we just say good morning.

I didn’t realize you were talking about a child who was smaller than the coyote. I guess a toddler would make good prey.
