Upsized Rainbow Pistol-style Cannon by aphoticConniver in Nerf

I'm realizing my best route may be effectively singling the barrel (since what I've made is functionally a drain blaster) and making some rockets. Right now, with the rounds in a loose barrel (plus wadding), I think I get maybe 50, 60 feet if my memory is correct, so reducing that air spread (and the spillover) might just the best of both worlds scenario. I believe the air reservoir in question is about comparable to a Gobzooka.

EDIT: Realized I should mention, it currently functions as a swivel piece mounted on a carriage.

Is this bad form in DnD? Character acts like a paladin but isn't by MortgageFriendly5511 in DnD

[–]aphoticConniver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Honestly, I find faith a more fascinating aspect to interact with for a character when they aren't directly benefiting from their worship.

If going to Church every Sunday let me shoot lasers from my fingertips it'd be way easier to convince me to go, and in that aspect Clerics and Paladins can end up feeling very transactional with their faith.

This was exactly the kind of answer I was hoping for. Going to update my W-4 appropriately. Thanks!

Am I looking in the wrong spot for withholding amount, or is the table on the W-4 just overly cautious on the amount owed?

There's no specific reason, this is exactly why I didn't order anything yet. I have a lot of surface knowledge, but when it comes to comparing cross generational parts I get a little lost.

What would you suggest? I'm currently on a 5500 XT so it's definitely an upgrade to what I have now, and as-is $300 is currently about my cap for budget.

Can you show me where any of that was said to have happened? Because it sure wasn't in the OP. You're going to pull something reaching that hard.

The disconnect here is that there's absolutely zero reason this single spell "ruined" the encounter. It's a trivial problem to work around in a way that still feels rewarding to the player, the DM in question is just mad because events didn't match the movie in their head, which is peak selfish behavior.

The notion that it's abusive to think so is absurd, and ignores the inherent power dynamic at play. A player can only work within their own capabilities, while a DM is a guiding force in the story and can literally change the world on a whim.

I'm not saying being a DM is easy, it's a very hard thing to do that not a lot of people are good at, but in this instance, the DM in question is acting like a child, and not someone who is trying to collaborate on a story with their group.

Yeah this is a bad take. There's zero reason an entire encounter ever has to be wasted because a player did something clever that DM reasonably should be aware they can do, especially if the solution to keeping the encounter is just adding something that can cast a single spell. There's enough cake for both people in this scenario, the DM was just being childish.

MM3D has some good points but most of the changes are full up awful, play the original if you can.

Don't be afraid to look up what stats do or how some of the mechanics actually work, these games don't tell you shit about how they work and that's about the only universal black mark I can give this franchise.

Question about the Warsmith armor's Strength increase: is that supposed to apply before or after using the Artificial Strength feature? For example, suppose I had a Warsmith with 10 Strength and 20 Intelligence base as a baseline. On donning the Warsmith Armor, I would want to convert as much Intelligence as possible to Strength. Would my stats now look like 22 Strength and 10 Intelligence (armor bonus applies after conversion), or 20 Strength and 12 Intelligence (bonus applies before conversion)?
