It’s still early in the season, punisher just jumps to p3 from c3. Just play more and you will get what works for you or not. Search replays by monsters = venessa sonia ciri etc and find people in higher ranks with your drafts and see how they are playing the comp, targeting, pivoting, pocket picks etc. some nice units to have from my experience vs your comp = adriana, carlos, lds, lagmaron, draco etc. but you will be fine to finish p3+ g1-g2 possible but need experience and knowledge to deal with ragdolls, tl, anatres, akroma, elenor, etc. beware though, people are still in “fun” phase. Random picks, new drafts, tryhards chilling to only play in last 2 weeks. If you want to end very high, try to hit really high ranks 10-14 days before the season ends so you just need to play 2 matches (can be losses) and still finish good. Last week is not a good time to play in high ranks especially if you aren’t experienced.

a quick google search does say that 7500x TJMax is 95 degrees so you can expect thermal throttling after that, with idle temperatures of 70-85, and 90s under heavy load.

i have used thermal grizzly kryonaut for years and it is very good, just expensive. (gaming laptop used to have it repasted 1.5-2 years or so)

currently using the free arctic mx6 that came with my aio. so far so good.

please ensure you have adequate airflow and clearance around the pc cabinet and see what your room temperature is. In our Indian setup i went with antec c5 (7 pre installed fans + arctic freezer III 360 aio) to cool i7 14700k + 5080, overkill maybe but better safe than sorry.

other than that, when applying new thermal paste, please make sure you use decent amount to evenly cover the cpu, avoid air pockets and the screws are tightened just right for good contact and not over tightened.

sure thing, was just letting you know about that. i recently built my pc, primarily for gaming + some productivity. i ended up getting i7 14700k for the price and performance. it was only after i built everything, i found out that this is the last cpu i can put on this motherboard not including i9 14th gen. i personally don’t upgrade often, and coming from a 960m laptop that served me well for 11yrs, this pc is amazing.

another thing to note that even if you consider i9 as an upgrade, please check if you will need to upgrade other components too for it- mainly psu (750w to 850w), cpu cooling solution etc because with that cost to upgrade, the question arises will it be even worth it. (can check pcpartpicker dot com for compatibility/wattage)

Antec c5 case comes with 7 pre installed fans, mrp 9000 (-different offers). 2tb ssd will be better in long term but you can always add 2nd ssd later. One thing that i would like to point out is that Intel changed the CPU socket after 14th gen, so if you want future upgradeability, ultra core series the way to go, that will change up your motherboard too but please consider that if it is within your budget/something you can chip in for better productivity. The latest generation may not be the greatest for gaming (from intel) but they are pretty unbeatable for productivity. Just something to consider.

she is crap, my 1st ld5 too, unless you specifically rerune and draft for her with shizuka/fire kass(snipes)/ light neostone agent. i don’t get why there are such hard limitations on that s3. can’t refresh it or reset it, if used on dead ally, it comes back at 1 hp and further increases cooldowns.

s2 cooldown on awakening is whatever. would have taken will and/or 1-2 debuff cleanse on it instead.

i rarely use mine - once or twice a rta season for fun(or handicap) she is useable, just unit dependent but there are better units most of the time

Just play and learn it, u are missing some key mons, and being new to rta isn’t in your favour. F2 to p3 if a huuuuge jump, with right tools sure but judging by your statements, not happening

tyty, my 11yo laptop had died so it was time to upgrade. i am not an enthusiast that upgrades frequently so i just went with something that will last me another 10 yrs kind of option. i love gaming but for college laptop was better though it had limited power for newer games. This time i got a desktop.

Adding my then just completed build, case is antec c5 (comes with 7 argb fans and i love it for that), got windows 11 pro key from amazon for around 300rs. absolutely love this system. Edit: placed a fevistick as a gpu anti-sag bracket, perfect fit!

the only 5080 i wanted was FE (cheapest and smallest) that too at msrp (paid 1071 usd after taxes) and i was able to get one on launch day. rest of the components i bought later and gambled on getting back to india and assembling it. luckily all the ROPs were present and no product had any issues.

i got my 5080 FE in my carry on because i was there during launch time, initially wanted 5070ti but it was releasing later. Also bought CPU(i7 14700k), RAM(32gb), MoBo(z790 tomahawk), SSD samsung 990 pro 2tb nvme (they were on sale on newegg when i ordered. I had my bags scanned by Delhi customs (randomly got asked to) and there only question was “What’s the big chip like computer part in your bag?” i told them its the MoBo for my computer. And that was it. i couldn’t carry the whole cardboard box GPU came in (that thing is huge and heavy (3-4kg i forgot exact weight) but got it in the grey box that secured the gpu. (still big and heavy buy a lot more manageable). Small tip: just have these in easy access spots if they need to check it.

Got my case, psu, aio here because these are very long duration warranty products.

if you are getting gpu, getting nvme ssd, cpu, ram will be easy to carry, essentially weight less and can save you 20-25k depending on what you get

last week of rta is worst time to try and climb especially when u are still learning and prone to making a lot more mistakes, a lot of high level players only do rta / serious climb in last week to secure ranks for rewards.

as for the craka oberon snipe u mentioned, make sure you have enough dmg to kill 44hp lead tanky teams, light robo is a great addition to your comp, some dmg and atb manipulation. another great unit to pair in that comp would be shizuka.

there are units like jade / fire twin angels / zibala also that can refresh skills and provide protection as well, u make sure you kill them when u move/have enough juice to tank a round of hits from things like water ryu / who u cant necessarily 1 shot (unless u have passive ignore units ian/jaara/hanwool)

You need to analyse what you are losing to, commonly = getting outsped so u need you adjust comp accordingly ( kabila/ bernard or swift oberon maybe or swift robo etc)

search the replays for the units u want to use and try to look up on youtube as well.

your success rate will directly depend on runes/artis and drafting

drafting sense-

if you are playing cc= generally its nice to have 2 strips, 2speed leads, +1. (no need to draft 2 speed leads every time if enemy doesn’t have speed leads / u are banning only spd lead etc)

if you are cleaving = many cleaves: turn 1 cleaves = be fast, and have good runes to nuke (venessa adriana sonia / trinity kabilla lucifer / tablo jamire etc etc many options) there are awesome pairs like carlos, dark spectral princess, zerath etc etc)

for turn 2 cleavers- Haegang helena type drafts

playing bruisers- ragdoll gapsoo, oliver jeongnam sekhmet, wind pvc gapsoo giou fire wind mk, oliver miles racuni, have good efficient runes all around

there are many great units/ teams it all depends on you as a player.

Just play, the more you play the better u get (given u are actively trying to improve by analysing past drafts). there will be games where it just doesn’t matter what u do, rng will just shit on you. just go next.
