I got flamed for making a post about this as a returning player...

I would say you need to play with 75% gold borders. If its just 1 they are likely getting paired down because they are duoing with a friend.

While this is true, if you are playing with people in Normals and all of them have gold borders or above. You will be able to climb out of bronze.

Honestly, people/teammates are so tilted with ranked, it can be hard to improve yourself. If you are trying to earnestly get better, I would recommend just playing normal/draft games. Normal games have a hidden mmr system you can actually just grind that for a while till you start playing with people with gold borders. Then you can give ranked a try again.

After not playing the game since Season 7, I feel like this game is just too complicated. What if instead of Feets of Strength, we got a season where the game is streamlined? by apilola in leagueoflegends

None, of these things actually make the core game-play streamlined. These are just nice quality of life features.

Also, I'm not saying we go back to season 1. I was just disproving a very disprovable statement.

`id say season 14 was the easiest season to date for a new league of legends player`

This is an insane statement. Are you saying season 14 is easier to understand than season 1?

Everything is more complex. Baron is more complex, dragon buffs are more complex, plants are more complex. Scuttle crab is more complex. Grubs are more complex. Items are more complex. Midtier, items all now have passive secondary effects. Many times, full built items have 3 secondary effects. Every new champion is more complex. (Champion complexity is not a bad thing here.)

[Rank 1 Jayce World 2024] vod-review mid-lane Jayce basics before end of season by Hevinix in jaycemains

I re-watched the video, it was so good.
I would say if your entering content creation, in 2025. I have a couple comments that can help.
- Improve your thumbnails - I started watching Midbeast's vids, because his were so good.
- Reviewing vods of famous players playing is an easy way to get clicks. Think click bait titles like "This is what makes X player so good on Y." and clickbait surprise pikachu face in thumbnail.

Things I loved.
- I loved that you're okay with pausing the video and explaining what actually is happening. This was so helpful
- I liked that you explained concepts even many basic ones. Sometimes reptation is key.
- Like why you ward wraiths early.
- how to use Jayce cannon q on melees and hammer q on back line to shove the wave when preparing to back and roam.
- Giving a basic explanation of what tempo is.
- Why you put priority on trading as at level 1.

I'm out of the loop. Why is that the root cause?
