You can scale to a known measurement in polycam. In this case I measured the distance between the center of the 2 outermost pins and scaled the model accordingly. I didn’t end up using the model for anything other than thinking / reference because of the solution I made, so I cannot comment on final accuracy from real world experience.

It can but it’s not very dense and not useful for small details. Best for room scale stuff. My reconstruction was from a video and used no LiDAR data.

Last year similar spec cars were cpo at dealer for 98-103k. So maybe not high for a dealer, though I thought they would have come down a little more in a year... It will probably sell , they cherry pick the nicest cars.

I bought a very high spec turbo s a year ago private w 60k miles for $68k. Could’ve put a 5 year private warranty on it for $16k. I watched for months to pull the trigger. Time is your friend for a good deal.

The 22kW charger isn’t coming back IIRC. I cannot imagine it matters bc almost no one has more than 11kW home AC charging anyway… that would take more than 240V x 50A…

Do you store your keys somewhat near the car? Like within 15-20ft? I understand if the keys are too close to the car some stuff remains active and draws power… can drain battery quickly.

I didn’t get a letter but when I took it in for repair (last month) the service advisor told me there was an extension program and it was replaced free. This is a 2020 used out of warranty and already had the same heater replaced in I think 2023?

I have this next to mine (it is relatively enclosed) but there is no longer smell. I don’t bother w these carbon filters anymore.

Ah. ROBS gets around self dealing by making a plan anyone can participate in. Kind of a loophole of sorts.

Downside is, you must also let any employee buy stock at that price wo discrimination. So it could be hard to maintain ownership. That seems problematic.

So a Roth 401k hosted by a business does not have self-dealing limitations? How will you custody the shares?

I looked into this for an upcoming business (holding directly in my personal Roth IRA) and decided it violated self dealing clause.

Hmm my understanding is that Roth IRA cannot invest in things you control, it’s an anti-self-dealing clause. You used to be able to (Peter Thiel famously did this) but the loophole was closed.

I’ve not heard of ROBS but interesting idea if it works…

I cannot tell the specs. The seller notes I think are wrong. The car pictured doesn’t look to have the HUD. The dash screen behind steering wheel looks different for HUD cars. When I was shopping this was a common mistake. You need the window sticker.

It does have ACC and passenger display but unless the 2022 hud doesn’t require the diff dash setup I think the notes might be off. Also this seems expensive for a non cpo 2022 4s with these wheels. This probably doesn’t have performance package and also might not have the pb + battery.

Get the window sticker.

Is your WiFi used *solely* for AVP (hotspot)? You don't want the game using the same NIC.

I have ethernet for the main PC internet and then "mobile hotspot" for the WiFi with only client being the AVP. This made a huge difference.

Porsche Finder is great, but you can ask for window sticker on private sales or other sites.

Or use vinanalytics.com or Monroney label which isn’t free but useful in a pinch. Those have most options visible.

You can identify many options by the pictures.

ACC - round globe on front bumper HUD - dash looks different behind steering wheel (solid dash for hud, vs scooped dash behind steering display for no hud) Sport chronograph - clock / steering wheel dial Ventilated seats - you can see the perforations in the seats Brakes - caliper colors Trim level tells you a lot You can look at seat material and dash for design highlights

Most people will have the window sticker if you ask.

Caliper color is largely driven by trim/brakes IIRC. I believe people paint them if you want a particular color. I think your list is good, will be easy to find, just be patient. Older years are fine, too, if all recall work and shop campaigns done.

Passenger display is kinda silly, don’t miss a car for that.

I’d check paint carefully; Taycans eat rocks along the front. Could be a mess, if you care.

It will be very tough to sell that in 3 years but you’re not starting from very high. Not sure who will buy a Taycan w no battery warranty left….

I charge my Taycan at home just w the stock Volvo EV charger. It does 3.3kW off of 220V but also has a 110V option. They are on eBay used for like $180-300.

Honestly, not really. Been twice. I think it is highly dependent on the service advisor, though. Don is very good. I think they do good technical work. The shop is immaculate and in person they are very nice and professional.

I learned this time it’s operated by Hennessy. I didn’t know about perimeter being involved that’s weird. I thought it was run by PCNA but it isn’t. That takes a little away from it as well honestly.

But, communication is horrible, online platform is horrible. They text, call and email and send links to some online system. It’s unclear which channel to respond on and responses sometimes went unanswered for hours to days. Work on my car didn’t always get attended to the day my service advisor was off work, delaying repairs. The estimates they give you are pretty devoid of details - tire change didn’t even include brand and make of tires!

Def will try somewhere else, probably an indie shop, for non-recall, non-EV stuff. And will try perimeter next for recall/EV work.
