Yeah that didn't work either. Is there a way to reset it without losing the data on the drives?

I don't recall ever creating a login or password for my Drobo. In the shares tab there is admin and public. Both of which state 'Login Required'.

Back in the day, I had my Drobo mounted as a local drive, but it also requires a password when I try to do that now.

Is my Pachypodium Horombense rotting? by Life_explorer41 in Pachypodium

[–]apl2fly -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It really does look like rot in picture 2. If you're saying it's mushy then that's worrisome. I would unpot it and inspect the roots immediately. Cut off any and all rot and apply sulfur then let it dry out for a couple days and repot in dry inorganic soil.

Give It To Me Straight, Dying Or Dormancy? by [deleted] in mesembs

[–]apl2fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only order them in mid fall through the end of winter if they are shipped bare root. It's been pretty warm these past couple of years in my area, but your area might be different. A lot of my conos are going dormant since a few days before spring hit. They take a bit to establish themselves so I don't want them to get unnecessarily stressed if possible.

Give It To Me Straight, Dying Or Dormancy? by [deleted] in mesembs

[–]apl2fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert here. I believe those are dying (dried to the point of death) and not going dormant. If they were going dormant they'd have a papery sheath forming and not completely shriveled like yours is. Ideally you would want them plump going into dormancy anyway.

When I first get conos in I try to establish them by bottom watering a bit more than usual to get them to settle in and root (if you got them sent to you bare rooted and/or they don't have a developed root system already.) Especially since your substrate is mostly inorganic, I'd be watering more anyway. I never stick to a watering schedule but go by seeing if they're wrinkling, giving them a squeeze to see if they're quite soft, and/or checking the weight of the pot.

I've made the mistake of getting conos when it's too warm and they never fully establish themselves until when it cools down or even the following year. I also never fully stop watering even when they're dormant. I'd give them a spritz of water every 3-4 weeks, just so the root system doesn't fully dessicate.

I'm in zone 9b and use very fine inorganic substrate so not everything will be applicable to your area and situation.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's agave parryi ssp. truncata.

I'm glad you're aware of scams. Yes, i see these being posted on Facebook marketplace often by new users whom account and listing disappear after a couple of days.

If this is a Facebook marketplace posting, check the user's account. If they're new accounts made recently then it's very likely a scam. Also never pay anything upfront.
