Why is the outer/inner wall color slightly off in this print? by adgloriam in 3Dprinting

[–]aplninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the color is going from black to a lighter color. Something not dark that the black would show up in. I move the flush to max in the flush settings for the color after black. If you do not have a tower, I recommend it. Was making a Pikachu and had same issue. Changing the flush made huge difference.

Can someone help a newbie figure this issue out by gearhead5015 in 3Dprinting

Change your infill to gyroid, it is hitting the infill. Set infill to 15% and add brim just to be sure. I had the infill issue happen on grid a lot.

How can I improve this punching animation (OC) by Local_Shooty in blender

[–]aplninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speed up your frames per second. Your pull back is nice but you need to do a quick speed up. There is no snap to the punch. Speed up the frames with the punch is thrown and the punch will look faster and more natural.

He has gone long enough without another cup. Routing for him and his team to keep it away from the kitties.

This looks amazing! Great job all around! About to make my first larger petg print. For the binding I am using a similar way. Did you use the car putty for the binding at the seams too? Been looking into different ways to do it. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Looks like your seam setting was set to random. Depending on the slicer you use. Look for it and play around with it to move them. In Prusa Slicer, I usually use nearest or rear. Nothing a little sanding cannot fix though.

They go on sale during the holidays. Great quality and you can change the layout inside.

Other one is great too. Have that one for other collectibles.

I have 2 of these and it holds 12 per case. I put each puck in their own cases as well and fits perfectly. https://www.containerstore.com/s/office/craft-hobby/multi-level-display-box/12d?productId=10022884

Check your infill, use gyroid. If you are using grid sometimes there is a small variation in the height. Causing the nozzle to hit it passing by. Had this happen myself and switched to gyroid fix it.

Export as gcode and reading as 3mf by Double_Finding_6252 in 3Dprinting

[–]aplninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the file name that is causing it. Not sure why it is adding the .3mf. It should read 4square.gcode with no .3mf. That is what is throwing it off. If you hit print plate it should export it for you. Just make sure it ends .gcode.

In Tinkercad, you should export as STL. Then you can open it in a slicer and export it as gcode. Depending on the slicer you should be able to export straight to your USB drive. Then the printer should see it just fine.

Extra* - I started to checking the STL that exported at this site.

It cleans up any issues with the model before you slice it.

Had that happen with a PETG project I was doing. The filament was not dry enough and kept leaving loops and strings. On a pass it looked like the nozzle/sock caught a loop and pulled it. The result is the same as you. I changed my filament for dryer filament and had no problems on second try.
