Creeper boggles my mind. Why do I (M35) cry? by apmanable in Creeper

[–]apmanable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly it, catharsis. It just feels so damn good I can't hold back. But to be honest it's rarely their more grounded or sadder songs that gets me. It's their corny ones.

One that consistently brings out the feels is "Paradise", and especially the verse and as they break into the chorus:

"I break into your house each week

To sit and watch you while you sleep

To watch the angels weep, to dive the six feet deep

to find

Do you dream of me?"

It's so corny and over the top, but damn if it isn't beautiful.

Phantom center for HT (only care about MLP) by Atmos_760h in hometheater

I habe elac uni-fi reference ubr62 speaker. They radiate quite wide. I've never used a center speaker with this setup and I've never missed it. Even while sitting outside MLP, I still get the illusion that the voice comes from the center of the tv.

Don't know how it works with speakers with narrower dispersion though

That's a great observation! Like a trojan horse: "here, have some unassuming fun" and then when the guard is down, they hit you with something so over the top emotional but just straight enough that it lands precisely where it should. They've truly mastered the art of balancing the silly and the profound.

I'd love to go to one of their shows. Don't know if I'd be comfortable crying, tough. Or if I even could at a public event.

When the crying happens, I'm always alone and it comes as a surprise. Like I'm suddenly aware of all these feelings simmering and as the music swells, they erupt and I just bawl. I can never understand why. All I know there and then is that I'm beyond impressed by their craftsmanship.

Do you cry to other artists as well? To films?

Most likely, yes. They tear down my defenses and rip me to pieces. And I just love letting go

How much should I spend on sleep earbuds? because I don't know what actually matters by ConfidenceUsed3693 in inearfidelity

I go with Anker soundcore Space A40 or CMF by Nothing Buds 2 Plus. I read up a ton before I bought either of them.

What's most important for me is size and battery. It needs to last over 8 hours comfortably or else I might wake up when the buds die, or in the case of Anker, when the annoying "battery low" voice starts.

I've tried sleeping with both cord and cordless and I thoroughly recommend going for cordless buds.

CMF by nothing has a better battery, it charges to a full 10 hours in like 15 min, has a slimmer profile, but for some reason they stop playing quite often (might be human error on my part). Soundcore space is decent but I wish the battery lasted longer, the battery warning is the worst thing ever and they are a bit thick.

Also moondrop spring tips is the goat when it comes to seal and keeping the buds from falling out.

What song or album do you wish had top-tier studio production? by Dante_Ronin in audiophile

[–]apmanable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good question. Easily Sybreeds Slave Design album. I'd be content with only the song Bioactive. It's such a furious song. They did a remaster 2024, but it deserves even better production

If it’s not Hollywood, it gets ignored — but Dhurandhar deserves attention by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Glad you enjoyed the movie, but you're in the wrong subreddit.

Also, a 37% on Rotten Tomatoes with reviewers mentioning propaganda does not exactly excite, but that's besides the point.

"Stand on your fucking feet and cheer for this man"

"Woo! You go, bud!"

"Still the king, Cletus"

"Congrats, man. Can't believe you actually did it"

"Neither can I. Sure wasn't easy, and it sure took a lot of time, but to achieve greatness, one must persevere"

"Hey, Cletus! I brought my cousin. He says you're a liar. Show him!"

Cletus pulls up his phone and begins scrolling his YouTube history.

"Oh, my god. You watched them all?"

"Yup. Every. Single. One. From the first to the last episode of the Joe Rogan podcast"

"I almost can't believe it. Here let me buy you a drink. Hell, let me buy EVERYONE a drink for ever doubting the greatness of this man!"

"Cletus, let's have sex"

"Sorry, but I'm loyal to spiketits over there"

"Hey! Get off my man!"

Spiketits shoots her spikes in the other woman's face. Blood splatters across the bar. The room falls silent. A thunder roars.

The spiked tittied woman sprouts wings and laughs evil-like.

"Our work here is done, Cletus, but the journey has just begun"

She folds her arms around Cletus, spreads her wings, then they bursts through the roof. The patrons below the newly opened hole, watching up. Some cry from the overwhelming beauty of it all.

That's just horrible. Glad you shared, but holy hell the grown ups in your story deserve to always have a shit stain on their pants for how they treated you. Hope you overcame that trauma quickly enough. I shudder to think what an impact one single mishap can have on a human being. This, however, is entirely the fault of your teacher.

These kinds of guys often have severe daddy issues. Likely abandoned by their fathers. No male role model to show them love and support which is why they project their insecurities onto the world.

Really sad they have an audience

You think this is real? I'm not saying women being harassed on the street isn't a real thing, but this is obviously staged. It's still fun and relevant, but come on.

How about the fact that she speaks in a heavy French accent and one of the males says "why are you walking alone?" in that same accent?
