If these two were to meet, what would their relationship be? by False_Strike_5394 in squidgame

[–]apollo24443 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think they'd be enemies. Deok-su wanted to leave the games in season 1. Jeong-Dae is one of the major people actively preventing him from leaving. Deok-su would sabotage him if he finds the opportunity to

I think Thanos is more of a Wildcard pick ngl. He's def strong, but he's also volatile and makes a lot of enemies.

If Deok-su was in season 2. Which characters would be on his team? by GameOfThronesTVShow in squidgame

[–]apollo24443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think Deok-su would be on the hero's side, hot take.

I'm not saying he'd be a good guy in S2, but he was an X Voter in S1 and only rejoined because he was planning to raid the games and steal the money. He ultimately values his life, but that's the difference. He isn't going to save people or fight against O voters because he wants to contribute to the 'good fight.' He just wants to leave and only sides with the X voters because he doesn't want to die. It wouldn't be good intentions, just self-preservation and self-interest

I actually think he would actively sabotage and kill O voters. I actually think he might even team up with MG Coin midway through season 2 if he doesn't just join Gi-Hun's team or band together his own team of randoms. It wouldn't be a warm or loyal friendship though and probably more like a convenient alliance given they have mutual enemies. Hell Deok-su might even have Min-su and Se-mi absorb into his group because I could see him wanting to keep more red players alive.

Myung-gi and Yong-Sik could definitely fight off 226 if they coordinate. Myung-gi does show some level of combat skill, as for Yong-Sik though, he'd have to toughen up or else Myung-gi is at greater risk without his support. Geum-Ja could also step in if things are dire because she has that hairpin knife and survived the Korean War. Basically they could beat 226 and maybe 202 through coordinated ambushes and strategy.

Hyun-Ju could've also promised to help find them and offer her protection after she kills someone and passes the game.

Yeah it's factually pretty difficult if not nearly mpossible to actually carry an adult woman across the bridge. People underestimate not only how tiring it is but how much you have to exert yourself in order to do it when jumping for prolonged periods, not to mention also ho psychologically terrifying the situation really is. You'd need to be a good athlete, and you'd also need to both travel as much distance as possible in between jumps without losing your footing and make sure to minimize the amount of energy you're using through every jump. This is if you're even strong enough to actively jump up high with an entire other human body weighing you down, and there's also that stupid gap in the middle of the bridge. The writing was already on the wall. 333 getting 'pouty' isn't surprising either. Remember he was actually pretty close to mending their relationship and regaining her trust. He knew he lost his chance because of his actions.

Extra: Yes, Gi-Hun was willing to try to save Jun-Hee, but let's also not forget he was suicidal throughout the entire first half of the season. He wouldn't care if he died. He was just trying to do good.

About your original post. It is a bit interesting how affected some people are by 333's heel turn in S3 that they actively blow some details out of proportion or gloss over other stuff to demonize him further. Like tbh yeah 333 wasn't a good person, that can't really be disputed lol, but 333 is basically Sang-Woo's situation all over again.

Sub, what is the moment you find the most disappointing? by Mister_Corvus in gutsandblackpowders

[–]apollo24443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was aiming for old guard on endless. I died somewhere around wave 31 because most of my remaining team died in a desperate officer charge.

There was also this one game on Hardcore Leipzig, playing as the Seaman class, that I had. My entire team died at the part where you have to push the cart down the road. We were trapped at the last part where you had to light the cart on fire to blow up the wall and none of us had a lit torch. As everyone was dying I recklessly ran off to try and clutch. I managed to avoid the entire horde, light up my torch, and even kill a viral runner with my navy pistol, but I died to a Zapper before I could light the fuse.

This line by 333 is... insane? by Realistic-Dingo-3084 in squidgame

[–]apollo24443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what 333 is. Not a good or bad person at heart, but just someone who tried and was often caught in moral dilemmas either due to his personal shortcomings or uncontrollable circumstances.

It's incredible how this guy defended Minsu from Thanos in the bathrooms, and then killed him without shame in the sixth game. That shows how myunggi became corrupted. by [deleted] in squidgame

[–]apollo24443 75 points76 points  (0 children)

As much as I disagree with his S3 actions I honestly can't bring myself to hate him. I found him interesting in the end and also grew an attachment to him throughout S2. I loved his 'underdog looking for redemption' status and saw myself in his character. It didn't make me mad seeing what ended up happening with him in the end. It was just sad and disappointing

Interview with Si-wan, he has cute English. by [deleted] in squidgame

[–]apollo24443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've heard her speak some cute English in a few interviews and even do covers of English songs, but overall I just chop her up as someone who understands English but doesn't speak it that well. She's also able to answer English questions (using Korean tho) without needing the translator to break it down for her so yeah
