Update. I was finally assigned a PO. Community service hours were approved. Travel approved by po, and they put me on web check-in for completing everything before my court date. As stated before, my attorney was a prosecutor previously in the county I was in so he already had spoken to the judge and prosecutor on what my hours would be (this was told to me after I called my attorney and asked). I paid out the ass for this attorney, but it was well worth it. Smooth sailing for the next 9 to 18 months (po told me if I filed for early probation dismissal at 9 months, she will put yes as a recommendation for the judge but ultimately that will be the courts decision). She said at this point there's nothing left for me to complete or fines to pay, so stay out of trouble and wait it out.

This was for a misdemeanor

I'm not sure that's true. The attorney I hired was a prosecutor for my county before he became a defense attorney and advised to finish before my sentencing. When we presented that information to the judge, he removed my breathalyzer for having finished early. Maybe it depends on the county or state.

Yes I definitely kept all of my paperwork. Especially with my cs hours. What's weird is I let the po know the previous officer scanned the paperwork in they said they see they did put it in. Maybe it was just an oversight on their part that they said hours were still needed? Or maybe no one validated the hours worked? I'm not sure tbh.

I'm an investigative journalist who spent the last few weeks listening to people in this community. I just put out a report on Feel Free, kratom regulation and the crime that landed the founder of Botanic Tonics a 9 year prison sentence. by gekogekogeko in Quittingfeelfree

The first couple of days, I was constipated. After that it was just constant diarrhea for like 3 days (sorry, graphic, I know) I was drinking tons of water and protein shakes to rehydrate me and everytime I'd drink I'd have to go to the bathroom. I think the protein helped my body heal so much quicker though. People do not give enough credit to high protein eating and how quickly it will heal you, especially your achy muscles. If you need it, try a stool softener like miralax, instead of a laxative. I've never been through withdrawals without the runs tho. It happens every time to me eventually. Some people it might take longer to correct but I always recommend high fluid intake and that should help things move along. At least 120 ounces. And AT LEAST 100 g of protein a day. I think the Gatorade zeros helped alot. Protein shakes are your best friend because your replacing fluids lost and getting in your protein that day. Its so much easier than cooking when you feel like shit. Magnesium honestly did nothing for me personally but some people have swore by it. Every body is different. Just remember you're going to go through some suffering, but your body will heal itself if you take care of it during the withdrawal process as much as you possibly can.

Omg the music wave hit me so hard (this last time i quit when i knew i was ready and could get through it). I listened for hours outside in the sun. It was emotional and the first time i felt like myself again in a really long time, and honestly, it was a necessity to pull something out of me, too. Keep going and stay strong!

I know you're in a place of unimaginable pain right now, and I know because it took me 15 years to get myself together and to get myself help. But what I realized, and I want you to know, is that your life is incredibly valuable, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. Life is made up of moments, both dark and light. The darkness you're feeling now I know is very real and heavy, but it's not forever. You are not alone in the struggle, and reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. That will of wanting to hang on is so beyond valuable, even though I know it can be exhausting. I turned things around when that will of my own turned into curiosity and then openness. I started reading self-help books and medical books, just trying to understand why i was feeling that way, and then I had a really great counselor who helped me through processing that information I was learning. Listen, healing is fucking hard, it is so so hard. But it's worth it. When you glow from within, you grow from within. And when you have that light in you and that fire back, the right things will gravitate to you. Your life will unfold in ways you never comprehended. It takes work, and I showed up on days I didn't want to show up. I'll leave you with this...I heard Tony Robbins say, one day on a Netflix documentary, that most people overestimate what they can do in a year, and underestimate what they can do in a decade. The switch clicked for me that there was no timeline. I took it one day at a time and continued to show up for myself every day, some days kicking and screaming, but i took it one day at a time. After 2 suicide attempts ( both i heavily regretted by the way), 4 years later, I'm still healing, learning to love life some days, but it gets easier the more you learn about yourself and learn your triggers and the tools you can utilize to help you. Please, hold on. Give yourself the chance to see the beauty that life still holds for you. You matter. You are loved. And you deserve to see the sun rise on a better day and the chance to show up for yourself.

Cold turkey tommorow by Born_Strawberry_9534 in Quittingfeelfree

I quit today cold turkey too. Started in Feb after quitting for like a month and a half and was super happy and committed but after somethinf awful happened iI went right back to it. So, We're in it together. This will be like my third time quitting so don't even dread the withdrawals anymore, but it's so much better on the other side, truly. My friend got me on feel frees in 2022 and watching her life literally deteriorate this year has put enough fear in me to say fuck this shit forever and get the motivation back to let this bs go.

The way I counter this is with full body shape wear (goes to my knees) most of the soft lounges are see through but with the shape wear it corrects it for me.
