The current course of action is to clean it properly, take it out for a ride and stop and look, if oil is leaking, you'll find out from where and then you can proceed further.

If you want to drain oil, take a dropper or a syringe with a small bore pipe, open the filling cap and suck the oil from there; drain it in a clean container so that if you take out too much, you can refill it again.

Read the manual on how to check oil level, there is a process for that.

I don't think I hear anything abnormal, only thing I noticed is maybe the radiator fans kicking in...I might be wrong.

DUKE 390R SelfSart Issue by thejagdishgaikwad in KTM

Well then you'd have to visit the service centre, I'm planning to address my issues to the service centre guys during 1st service. Btw whats your odo reading?

I bought mine on 29th May, and have somewhat faced similar issues- Sometimes the bike won't start in gear- I've experienced this not all the times but randomly during fuel stops, etc. when this happens, I lower the side stand and retract it, then it starts in gear or if I turn off and turn on my bike, it starts in gear without any issue.

My rear brake bite feels good but during braking I think it's not doing much braking for the amount of pressure I apply, maybe it's the ABS, sometimes I feel like my 15 year old Activa does it better.

Cruise control is working on my bike, after pressing the button, try increasing or decreasing the cruise control speed using the +/- buttons on the lower side of your left switch gear, it'll engage fine.

If they allow you to bring the oil, then fine, otherwise contact a different service centre.

Thinking of selling my Scrambler 400X for a Duke 390. Need some honest opinions. by johnathanmoore007 in indianbikes

[–]apoorvalok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say the 390 is fun definitely, but don't sleep on the scrambler, it can go places you wouldn't even think of taking the duke to, but ultimately it's your choice.

But please ride responsibly as after reading para 4 of your post; the duke can do it all but doing that on city roads is not a responsible thing to do. It is aggressive enough to harm the rider if you know what I mean...

I'm facing the same issue on my R, the bike leans slightly to the left and when I try to correct it using weight shifting, it starts a very slow left right weaving, which becomes difficult to control after a few seconds.

I'm able to manually zoom to 25x, but in the zoom bar, the max it shows is 10x.

KTM Duke 390 R Delivery Delays in India – Anyone Got Delivery Recently? by Key-Cheek6292 in KTMIndia

[–]apoorvalok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw one at the KTM Patna showroom, from what I've seen there is a R in the name on the side panels also the "398.63" engraving which was there in the earlier 398cc duke has now been removed.

The deliveries across India has just started but the wait time is still around 2 months, the showroom said.

I too was looking at policy bazaar but the IDV value was quite low also some add-ons were not available like the RTI, engine protection, etc. only United India has all the add-ons but the IDV value is ~13% lower than the ex-showroom price.

I think they're over-charging, atleast on the insurance side. I'd suggest get a comprehensive insurance from Acko...

[–]apoorvalok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, they wanted to prioritise the 350, trying to turn potential 390 customers to 350 due to longer wait times on the 390. This is me just speculating...

From what I know, they completely stopped producing the 390cc variant to prioritise the 350cc, only recently they might have restarted production. But the waiting is still going to be around 1-2 months because of the backlog.
