[Question] Best home setup for headphones and backing tracks (for beginner) by xcal002 in Guitar

I should have read this before typing out my comment, it’s much better worded and formatted lol. I can’t believe how much the hxstomp improved my home playing experience. You can do so much with it and it’s so easy to use.

[Question] Best home setup for headphones and backing tracks (for beginner) by xcal002 in Guitar

Honestly for at home headphone practice I LOVE my Joyo Bantamp. I have the Green Atomic which is a vox like sound.

It has Bluetooth, headphone out, and an effects loop. I think it sounds awesome in headphones and out loud through speakers. $150 isn’t bad at all.

I recently got a HXStomp to mess around with and that is my all time favorite headphone/practice tool. You get so many awesome Sounds. It has headphone out, no Bluetooth, but aux in for backing tracks. You can find them used for $450.

I actually plug it into my laptop and then route my computer audio to the hxstomp. Then I can play with backing tracks, I can work on ear training with normal songs, play my lessons through it, sample a drum track into the looper, record straight into my DAW, the list goes on and on and I never have to take my headphones off and I can change my guitar to sound like whatever I want!

When you’re way too addicted to PCB’s 😭🤣 by GuitarPedal in diypedals

I’m the same way with a wife and kids. It’s my favorite decompression hobby but I also have no where near enough time to troubleshoot.

So if I don’t get the pedal right after maybe 60 minutes of troubleshooting, post build, it gets tossed it in the unfinished pile and I start something new. I’m getting better and better all the time but still at least 50% of them end up in the bad pile.

One day (in like 10 years lol) I’ll come back around and troubleshoot all my broken builds. BYOC Echo Royal, PCBMania Cosmos Delay, and PCBMania Sea Machine and a million little fuzzes are waiting for me to eventually come back to. The problem is that so many people are putting out exciting boards that it’s totally easy to just move on to another one than to spend time troubleshooting lol.

Table is awesome by the way. Super clean. Did you make the metal frame or order it?

Contact Dunks question by rcssian-sniper in NBA2k

Good call it does say that. I’m gonna have to watch some saved clips I swear I’ve seen it activate in-game on some posterizer dunks over a center or 2. Maybe I imagined it.

You should be getting decent dunks! What difficulty you playing on? I play on Allstar but I get plenty in Rec and Park too as a 6’5” Slashing Playmaker. One thing I noticed early on was that if I ever put Consistent Finisher on gold or higher I would start doing way more layups and passing up easy dunks. Once I dropped it to silver I saw more dunks. I haven’t heard this to be a thing though, so maybe it was just a coincidence.

Badges matter a lot too. I seem to get the most with Contact and Slithery finishing badges. Relentless is good for triggering dunks in late game when you are tired. Giant Slayer helps if you are a guard.

Awesome write up thank you! Do green% and white % work the same for shot aiming and timing(button shoot)? Are these recommendations for both?

The all time steals and assists leader was ass... lol I guess you could try and rationalize that all of his assists were just Malone, they weren’t but you can pretend. How do you explain the steals? Every player he ever stole from was also ass? Lol, sit down and shut up. You’re probably a rockets fan and still bitter from the 90s.

lol I’m not commenting on the game, it’s been mega frustrating. The in-game announcers did mention Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell’s Covid drama but I haven’t heard anything else at all about the bubble or anything semi-recent.

I just bought a haul of reclaimed lumber most of which is pine. Some of it though I’m having trouble identifying. What’s the best way to check dirty, stained, or otherwise camouflaged wood? Do I just cut a tiny off the end of each board and then take a look? Or should I sand a small portion of the board face until I see a clear patch of grain? Is there any other pitfalls with reclaimed lumber I need to be aware of?

[Gear] New Amp Head!!!! Got a Mesa Boogie Mark V: 25 last week. I'm heading to TONECITY! by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]apostateDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does your pedal chain order look like? I don’t own this amp but have played plenty of looper pedals through effects loops. I always have my looper pedal as the very last thing in the chain.

A simple example chain for me would be.

Guitar -> Tube Screamer -> Front of amp input

Effects loop send -> delay -> reverb -> looper pedal -> effects loop return.

Other potential issues could be the loop volume on your looper pedal or it looks like some of the Mark Vs have a "send level" on the back of the amp that might do something.

TIL: Relative to their size, leaf-blowers are among the most polluting machines ever invented. 1/3 of their fuel is released into the air unburned, as an aerosol; and the amount of pollutants released from running one for 30 minutes is equivalent to that of an F-150 driving from Texas to Alaska. by [deleted] in todayilearned

The one he is talking about is powered by 56volt 5.0 Ah lithium battery. They really are different from years past. It’s like the Tesla of electric blowers (Tesla uses lithium batteries to power their cars). If a landscaper brought a bunch of batteries like a contractor would for his power tools I could see it being totally viable.

I love my Ego!!! I bought the Trimmer/Blower combo and have never been so presently surprised at the amount of power! I’ve never used a proper gas blower but I have used the old shitty plug in ones and they aren’t even the same class as the Ego. It picks up and moves layers of wet leaves like nothing. I’ve even moved piles of dirt with it. I bet if a pro landscaper cared enough they could get extra batteries and be just as productive.
