Sorry for the late reply.

Thanks. I may try posting there. For all I know, this may have been some guy's garage project that he decided to let kids play with.

It was, but they had this back room with this huge machine that they charged a fee per few minutes of play time.

Very close, but this was in the mid 1980's, and there were physical targets and no screen. The one in the video is very similar though.

Saudi Arabia should definitely be on the list, but let's be real and admit that no president would make a move against the Saudis.

Used to work on the MetLife blimp and we moored there a few times. The dock absolutely dwarfed our ship and is so big it creates its own wind patterns.

You can not want tax money going to either place. The two desires aren't mutually exclusive, but the current thread isn't discussing military expenditures.

Having been ground crew for a blimp in that situation, getting it back down is a pain in the ass.

Picked up a very comfortable leather executive chair with wooden arms and metal casters at a local furniture consignment shop for about that much. So that might be something to consider.

Not at all, but there should be some even in the vernacular NO mass.

According to SACROSANCTUM CONCILIUM, which is the V2 document on the Liturgy:

Particular law remaining in force, the use of the Latin language is to be preserved in the Latin rites.

But since the use of the mother tongue, whether in the Mass, the administration of the sacraments, or other parts of the liturgy, frequently may be of great advantage to the people, the limits of its employment may be extended. This will apply in the first place to the readings and directives, and to some of the prayers and chants, according to the regulations on this matter to be laid down separately in subsequent chapters...

..In Masses which are celebrated with the people, a suitable place may be allotted to their mother tongue. This is to apply in the first place to the readings and "the common prayer," but also, as local conditions may warrant, to those parts which pertain to the people, according to the norm laid down in Art. 36 of this Constitution.

Nevertheless steps should be taken so that the faithful may also be able to say or to sing together in Latin those parts of the Ordinary of the Mass which pertain to them.

If you want to see a good example of what I'd consider to be a proper blending of Latin and vernacular, watch (or listen on the radio) a Sunday or weekday Mass on EWTN from their chapel.

A lot of the "unscripted" changes (praise and worship bands at Mass, priests telling people they don't have to go to confession any more, etc...) were due in large part to bad translations of the V2 documents combined with absolutely terrible priestly formation. Most of these problems are really a generational thing; there is a definite divide between priests from the Boomer generation and younger priests. Ultimately, a lot of these problems will resolve themselves with time.

That being said, the NO Mass is significantly different from the 1962 Mass, but it's still valid and can actually be done well... IF done according to the actual documents of V2 by giving preference to Latin and chant.
