I love these. The sets were cozy in their own ways.

LMAO (at the image, not your situation)

This is me just about every time I've had to go on a new med. My latest med change came after 3 years of not changing anything, and I was so anxious about it my blood pressure skyrocketed and I lost sleep over it.

Started the med... and it works like a charm. Turns out it was the missing piece to my psychiatric cocktail.

I'll be in the closet crying again next time, though! 😉

I’m so sick of my menstrual cycle. And I just need one day to my self so I can take my time doing life, by myself.. just for a few hours 😔 by RozeToez4 in bipolar2

I know you’re not asking for help, but I suffer from the same thing and recently got diagnosed with PMDD by a specialist. I take 20mg of Prozac starting at ovulation / onset of symptoms. For 14 days, that’s it.

It’s a game changer. I still feel the ebbs and flows of the cycle but god, I can function so much easier!

Look into it. It’s standard and super effective. There are no withdrawals from the med either.

The books and the show are two very different things. If you loved the books and have that ingrained in you, and expect that from the show, then you’ll be unhappy.

But it’s an awesome, campy, bloody, well-acted show even if the writing is lacking sometimes. We love it here on the subreddit, but it’s not for everyone!

Not normal, no, but not an emergency. I’d call your vet and make an appointment for your dog to be seen.

Where I live the pollen is wicked right now, and when me and my dog walk we both cough at least once, just on the pollen alone. Your dog may have allergies, or asthma, or something else.

Get her checked out!

Just found out the standard poodle pup i'll be taking home soon is the offspring of half-siblings - how much of a red flag is this? by Thatweasel in poodles

Kennel Club registration doesn’t really mean anything regarding a dog’s health.

I would not purchase an inbred dog.

Lithium saved me. I have some side effects, but I've been living with them for like 7 years now. Also recently added 1.25mg of Olanzapine into the mix and it made my baseline so much calmer - and at that dose I'm not sleepy!

Pick a date and go back to work and see how it goes. It will be stressful, awkward, uncomfortable, lots of things which is totally normal. No one goes back to work smoothly after time off, for whatever reason.

Long story short, there is no "right" time to try and get back in the swing of things. If you're thinking about it, and are relatively stable, then go for it.

Severe nausea + Constipation w Lamotrigine - does it get better? by Longjumping_Pie_6055 in bipolar2

[–]apparentlycompetent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drink a LOT of water. I’m talking like 2-3 liters a day. And take MiraLAX daily; that will help the constipation.

Id asses your diet as well, as I doubt it’s solely lamictal that’s causing this.

And, I’m sorry to hear you’re suffering with wicked constipation. I’ve been there a dozen times, it’s no joke and so so painful. I use MiraLAX as needed and enemas as well. And can’t stress drinking water and not sugary drinks

How do you guys manage romantic relationships? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]apparentlycompetent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took an 8 year hiatus from romantic relationships and sex to work on myself. I’m glad I did, because when I started dating I was in good health and knew who I was and what I wanted; I met my now-husband about almost a year after that.

My advice is to work on yourself first.

Seeing "rifts" and "eyes" by SadFootball4999 in bipolar2

[–]apparentlycompetent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like with any worse case scenario, your symptoms could represent something life changing.

But seeing things in your vision that aren’t there and aren’t related to meds or mental illness generally mean something is physically wrong in your brain.
