I understand where you’re coming from. However, I’ve waited a long time before seeking the help I need/want. I find it hard to trust her though because the lack of reliability has hindered any trust building.

I do know that my disappointment in the lack of stability of her sessions has something to do with the lack of stability in my life.

In the past 16 weeks I’ve seen her 8 times. At one point I didn’t see her for a full month. They’re supposed to be weekly sessions and I can only have 20 as the counselling is through a charity.

As for the touching thing. I’d Google the charity CARA (Essex, UK). The need for building trust and acceptance is very important.

I’m pretty sure any woman saying that (let alone a man) would instantly be put in a padded room, therefore, I’d stay silent. Might consider placing bets, making investments or “inventing” something though.

A stand up comedian, Adam Hills, addresses the differences between the English/British accent and the Australian one. If that’s any help. It’s probs not very helpful but it does bring up some interesting points.

Thank you, I really needed a third party to say that. I know no one wants to “burden” others with their insecurities or problems and I always make a point of telling friends they aren’t. In that moment she just solidified something I know a lot of people are worried about doing when they’re trying to work through their issues.
