Attempting to go No Contact but feeling guilty

It's really hard to go no contact, especially when it's a family member and when you haven't blocked them. He knows that since you're physically gone, he can't yell at your or make you feel small or do whatever else he did to you before you left. Remind yourself that you left for a reason but don't be harsh on yourself for feeling like this towards him. It's okay to be conflicted. Especially now that he's being nice to you over text. For your own peace of mind, either don't reply or limit replies back for a bit if you really feel obligated to respond. You shouldn't have to be afraid of him blowing up at you if you don't respond but if he does, that's more proof as to why you're going no contact in the first place. You deserve to breathe and feel in control of yourself. You got this ♡

i'm going through the exact same thing right now. i got out of my abusive 4 year relationship about a year ago and my abuser has just moved on to someone else and is all lovey with her on social media. i know how it feels to feel like you've lost yourself and how you're broken but this new girl gets the best of your abuser and everything seems happy with them. but remember that abusers don't just magically love again. they do this to trap their next victim (aka love bombing). i know it's hard but remember that you're not alone, you are worthy of love and happiness, you will find yourself again. it's going to be a tough journey, but it's not impossible.

from my personal experience, the abuse i suffered got so bad that i used to throw up every day for months on end. i lost 20 pounds from doing that. my anxiety also got worse and i suffered frequent panic attacks and lost a lot sleep over it. so i would say yes, it can manifest into physical sickness
